Fast start for OSU and V-Texh hurting themselves here.

Jones looks like a beast for OSU.

Now OSU hurting themselves. Both teams missed FGs but OSUs was after a TD that was called back due to a hold.

Nice play calling that drive.

OSU defense didn't look good at all that drive.

Quite the tale of two quarters.

I was surprised by the number of folks that made a pick in this game.

Don't the professional gamblers say to take the points in college and to lay the points in the NFL?

It seems like Urban is playing with house money playing with an expendable QB. Why run that guy so much unless you have two back ups?

I don't usually put much stock in what the talking heads say at half, but have to agree on give the ball to the OSU RB.

Wonder if this V-Tech QB will return. That could make a huge difference in the outcome.

Miller almost had TD #3.

And had that been SC's QB you would have bitched and moaned that it was a late hit or that he was being targeted all night and the officials let it happen.

Then you would blame the NCAA for the injury because 30 years ago they took scholarships from the team for no reason (despite there being very valid reasons).

So the guy who wants his kids to slide cleats up into 2nd base, approves of the two high school kids going after a ref, and has no problem making kids cry during workouts, now is whining about OSU taking out Va Tech's QB? THAT'S RICH...

it was a clean, legal hit and it happens every week in HS, College, and NFL...

I just find your line of reasoning so hypocritical...

Its simple
Excellent take, as always. I mean, OSU has never had to deal with playing their back up QB's in pressure situations. I'm sure the kid behind Cardale Jones has no experience and would piss down his leg at the thought of playing in Lane Stadium.

No shit. They would have been royally fucked if they had to resort to the guy everyone thought was gonna start anyway.

So responding to a clean legal hit with a dirty illegal hit evens everything up in your eyes? That probably explains why you can't ascend past coaching kiddies.

I'm pretty sure the reason they lost is because OSU has better players.

If you can take a guy out on a clean hit, more power to you. If you have to resort to dirty play, you're basically conceding that you are not as good at football, and deserve to lose.

Since schmick is bestowing the "rules" of football upon us, what is a team to do when one of their players is injured without contact? Take Hill for BYU. All accounts say he hurt his foot on a play where he scored and wasn't touched. Do you still retaliate? Do you not since they didn't technically take him out?

Lefty back up even further...what if a kid is running scout team and is the "other" teams qb and gets taken out? Then that means the scout team has to take out a star player to even it out...
