Del tha Funkee Homosapien - I Wish My Brother George Was Here
Found this one used. I had this cassette waaaay back in the day, but I'd been putting off buying the CD for far too long. War "Pissin On Your Steps." This shit was indie rap before there was such a thing as indie rap.
Kreator - Enemy Of God
Man, it's hard to believe these guys have been around for 20+ years now. This is their latest album, and I hadn't heard anything by them since Renewal in the early 90s. It was $1.99 for a used promo copy of this disc, so I said why the hell not? I definitely dig that their singer, Mille, went back to his old singing style. It's not as good as some of their mid-80s classics like Flag Of Hate or Terrible Certainty, but it blows away any of the nü metal crap that's out there right now. Straight up old-school German thrash metal, motherfuckers.
MF Doom - Mm.. Food
I'd been wanting to pick this up for a while, and then Bizzaro mentioned it in another thread and it lit a fire under my ass. Sounds pretty cool, but I was vacuuming during some of the songs in the middle, so I'll have to give it another listen before I form an opinion.

No. Isn't that the one where he collaborated with Madlib? The only ones they had were Mm..Food and Live From Planet X, so I went with the one on Atmosphere's label.Bizzarofelice wrote:Have you heard Doom's Madvillian yet? That's the fucking album.
I gotta be honest, it's not really blowing me away. It's way better than your typical MTV jumpsuit rap, but I guess I expected more. He's got a nice flow, but the beats just aren't doing it for me. I will check out Madvillain though.
