Still too early for me. And the stupid bastards had me working, rather than observing my Saturday religious ritual. Saw very little today beyond all the highlights, after marathons in weeks 1 and 2.

But I'll offer up some opinions, the order of which isn't set in stone, or even mud, based solely on my limited eyeball test...

1 - LSU. A little iffy in the passing game, beastly running game, and LSU's defense rarely needs much commentary to explain.

2 - Fuck If I Know University. Tempted to put Ole Miss here (so much for being an SEC hater, eh?)

3 - OU doesn't seem to be getting any love. I think they might roll through that candyass conference.

4 - ND. Handling their business. Quality win today.
5 - Michigan State. I'm still not fully sold, but they have a good W, and are taking care of biz.

6 - tOSU. Walking on thin ice, but still the undefeated champs.

7 - Miss St. Has a L on the ledger, but it was a hard fought L to my #1 team. And sadly, I've developed a mancrush on Dak, the best player so far.

OK, that's all I got so far. Yes, my shitty list is devoid of PAC teams -- my homer-ass is a hater for the moment. I still think Oregon is the best of what may be the best conference, but since I'm most passionate about the PAC, I've got a wait-and-see attitude. I think Utah may turn out to be the team to beat in the South -- that's one nasty D they have (even after Gary Anderson poached their D coodinator, Kalani Sitake).

1. Ohio State - Look complacent right now, but they're still loaded. CUM will get it together.
2. Ole Miss - Best win in college football so far.
3. LSU - Defense and a running game will win you a lot of games.
4. Michigan State - Gotta shore up special teams, and key season ending injuries on the defensive side of the ball are concerning going forward.
5. Notre Dame - I thought I would be writing ND off after this weekend but they were impressive. Still a little concerned with the QB situation.
6. TCU
7. Georgia
8. Oklahoma
9. Clemson
10. UCLA

1. Ohio State - agree with Mgo. They'll get their shit together and be ok.
2. Michigan State - Connor Cook will gain confidence and play better. Sparty is the most balanced team behind the Buckeyes
3. Notre Dame - that defense was stout. I thought GaTech was going to run all over them.
4. Bama - 5 turnovers and a wacky play and they still almost pulled it out. Coker is now the guy, so Bama will be fine.
5. Georgia - the schedule is in their favor. They could sneak in the final for this year.
6. LSU - need to see a more balanced attack when they play a better run D
7. Ole Miss - I know they just beat Bama, but they'll blow it at some point this season
8. UCLA - Rosen is going to be a stud. He'll get better and better as the season goes on.
9. TCU - their defense is going to cost them a game, but Boykin will keep them in it every single week.
10. Baylor - they only are higher than Oregon because of easier non-conference opponents.

2. OH10 State. Sorry. Today was weak.
3. Ole Miss. Let's face it - beating 'Bama in their house and for the 2nd year in a row is unheard of.
4. Notre Dame. Good fucking win today.
5. TCU. Play somebody.
6. Baylor. Play somebody.
7. LSU. Fourtnette walks away with the Heisman if they voted today.
8. UCLA. Lucky.
9. Georgia. Still haven't played anybody. SC is terrible.
10. Oregon. Still giving up too many points to dick-dick teams, but still a good team.

FSU & Clemson - right on the edge.

FSU SUCKS.

I'd have them 15 at best.

but maybe that IS right on the edge...

Im done with putting OU in any top 10 list on paper or in my head until they prove they belong in the top 10.

the win At Tennessee definitely showed me something and reminded me of 2000/2001 when it seems it was the last time (since maybe the loss to LSU in the sugar) that the team had GUTS.

I'm honestly not upset at all against the yards and points given up to Tulsa..i do think our corners didn't play physical and gave WAY too much of a bubble to them ...I don't know how many times they completed slant passes.
(Sanchez is STILL way overrated.)

WVU in 12 days..which we should win still really won't show me anything....lets see what they do against top 10 opponents...THEN they'll earn their way back in.

So we get some correction on two SEC teams, and now Ole Miss steps into the Overrated Spotlight.

As a general rule, yes.
