I thought this thread was going to be about Alabama's defense. Sorry to hear about your exploding ass.

BTW I was down in Alabammer on Thurs/Fri. Birmingham area. Just a few notes:

-Everyone is exceedingly nice
-Everyone is exceedingly fat
-Southerners like to drink Coke with breakfast. WTF? See #2.
-Using the phrase "a la carte" at a Waffle House in rural Alabama is a great way to get confused stares

Sorry you had to go thru that, hopefully the surgery will help.

What you need to do is be a compliant patient. That means following all of the doctor's orders, and you have not done so.

They gave you pain meds. Take them. I get not wanting to take pills, but immediately post op is not the time for that. At least in the immediate post op period, take the pain pills they prescribed for you, even if you're not hurting. It is much easier to keep pain away than it is to try to get rid of it after the pain has hit.

Plus, one side bonus is that the pain meds will usually plug you up, the chance of you getting diarrhea while taking pain meds is pretty low.

Take it easy and again, be a compliant patient.
I got "plugged up" while on pain meds after my stupid ladder trick a few years back. This caused worse pain than the fall did. Not saying that diareah...diareh....the squirts is a picnic, but, I will take it over a bad case of constipation. Just resign yourself to spending some time on the can and make sure you have plenty of reading material. Also, the heck with the baby wipes, just hop in the shower after each round with the shitter.

You'd better stay at home, Sam. You might lose a few friends if you go out....

Sam, that is some seriously heavy weight you have been pulling. I have been through some complex procedures myself, but nothing that compares with what you have endured. Thoughts and well wishes my brother, hope and pray for your health and well being.

"I was pulling into Nazarath and was feeling about half past dead.
I just need some place where I can lay my head.
"Hey mister, can you tell me, where a man can find a bed?"
He just grinned and shook my hand, "No." was all he said.

Take the load...and put it right on me.

'Nuff said.

That's a real nice scar. I hope you're doing better as a result.

And as JSC mentioned above, always be a complaint patient. Any time things aren't going exactly as you want, complain as loudly and as obnoxiously as you can. It's the only way to get anything done most of the time.

I have somehow managed to get through half a century and change without a stitch. Better to be lucky than good, I guess. Fukk you guys and your zipper club. I hope to never join it.
