i would vote for this year of those choices. jesus.
as much i personally think UM football is overrated by a lot.....they surely have more painful ohio state losses than those. when it meant something. when the overrated Bo Schembechler didn't win the national championship.
life is strange, captain comeback fucked right inside. OU gagged the load to Texas.
war sparty.

Re: Most Painful Michigan Loss Ever?
The hail mary is painful in the freak nature of the play but losing Colorado doesn't equate losing to State. The App State loss was the beginning of a down season.
In terms of just State losses...don't forget Desmond's stumble in the end zone. I'm not calling it a trip.
There's heartbreaking losses and just tough losses in the context of what the game meant. This game hits both columns because a win over State would've set up a potential showdown in November with OSU to go to Indianapolis. The ending is pretty much the end of Auburn-Alabama with the Davis return on the missed field goal...an innocent play that went horribly wrong. In terms of disappointing...it was harder to lose that 1 vs. 2 OSU game which didn't feature a signature moment other than the Crable personal foul. The Buckeyes outright won the game. Losing a big game trumps losing in a freakish way.

You'd have to ask the current students or guys on the field. I'm a couple decades removed from letting losses linger beyond the post game beers. The one that bugged me the most in recent years was the 2006 #1 vs. #2 UM/OSU game. Adding in the death of Bo the night before, it was a tough one.
This one sucked, no doubt, but it was too bizarre. I was fine before the traffic cleared.

Re: Most Painful Michigan Loss Ever?
I watched the entire game. Well it was my "main" game while switching around to check on all the others that were also happening.
Except...when Sparty turned it over on 4th and 19 I figured it was over, and got up to pee and get a glass of water. When I came back the MSU players were all piling on each other and...WHAT!?!?! Michigan State scored?!?!? Sure glad I have rewind on my DirecTV box.
