they are paying mike riley the 39th highest salary in BTPCF.
bo pelini was kind of an idiot but a somewhat highly sought after idiot.
mike riley is famous for winning 8 games with 6 game win talent at a non-football school. at best.
i hated the bill callahan hire like a 1000 suns but this was even dumber.
how can you recruit to a guy who is the 39th salary?
what is going on with the nebraska people?
you make a move out of the Big XII where all your revenue and reputation is....so you can get a huge influx of TV money from the new conference, expect everyone in the new conference to love you based on past results...... and then, all of a sudden, pay your coach the 39th best salary.
hey hooray?

Yeah, if Nebraska thinks they're entitled to more than 9 wins a year, then go out and hire a coach who's proven he can do that. For whatever reason they keep "hiring down" in an attempt to get better. At this rate, Charlie Weis or John L Smith will be their next coach.

Well, at those those tickets are almost at field level in the South end zone. Might as well watch the game on TV anyway.

By the way, that was Darrell Hazell's first Big Ten home win. This is his third season at Purdue. Woof.

Bad call on the sideline play but you'd think State could put away a two score lead in the last 5 minutes of a game...credit to the Huskers for not giving up.

I was pissed they blew the call at the time but now I don't care. MSU deserved to lose that game. Just horrific play calling from Dave Warner all night, and the woeful special teams play and swiss cheese secondary were going to catch up to this team at some point. Just too many flaws and Cook wasn't good enough to overcome them last night. Props to the corn shuckers.

I watched it for awhile, thought the game was over. Surprised to find out later that the Corn had won... until I also found out Alex Gordon was at the game at brought some Royals comeback magic along. Then, it wasn't so much of a surprise.
