Not sure how much longer Maryland will be at the bottom

DJ Durkin putting together quite the staff on defense. Shafer as DC, Mike London as DL coach. Some very good defensive minds and two above average recruiters. There is a ton of talent in the DC/PA area each year that goes westward. If he hires a good OC they could be pretty formidable in a few years. Too bad they are in the East.

First order of business, get rid of the clown suit uniforms.

MD has a real opportunity this year with Frank Beamer retiring. VT and PSU and to an extent Pitt, WV have dominated the local recruiting scene. Much of the recruiting base is in the Hampton Roads area.

No shit, but easier said than done. UA's CEO, Kevin Plank, is a Terp alum. It would be like Oregon telling Uncle Phil to go fuck himself with the uniforms, but thanks for the money.

This. They will continue to be a laughing stock until then.

True, just seems like they could work together to come up with something a little more...palatable. But I guess that's what the kids are into...

Like I said in another thread, that is Oregon's brand. For everyone else following or chasing you don't have a brand and that includes Maryland.

If you must have the clown suits, do what Penn State, Texas and others with strong branding do and let the players design the practice uniforms that they spend the most time in and the public rarely sees.
