UPDATE:

I've still yet to walk into a weed store. Even though there's one right up the road (24/7/365, no less).

Between taxes, and retailer markup, the black market still rules here. The legal market pretty much crashed the price. On the black market, the chron (that would be "high THC percentage") goes for about $100 an O (that's "ounce"), if you know people. Recreational sales are limited to a quarter (that would be "1/4 ounce") per customer, which goes for about $40 retail, depending on quality. Of course being a True Blue state, the grifters in Salem are trying to figure out how to get a bigger piece of the pie (:SHOCKER:).

The gradual lifting of the moronic prohibition is welcome, although far too late.

So, my friend and I tried some stuff for anxiety and relaxation. I went to a reputable place and they hooked us up. We shared half an edible cookie and they suggested just a bite at a time and we, of course weren't patient waiting for it to kick in and we ate half the large cookie and things were spinning and we felt out of control. I just remember thinking, I can't let my husband know something is up. We threw the cookie away, as well as the other brownie we bought. I also threw away the roll they gave us, my husband would not have been on board with that. In hindsight, I should have at least tried it. I also got some CBD tincture, which doesn't give a high, but relaxation. I put it in tea and it really didn't do much. You can still taste and smell a hint of the strange taste, which I'm not crazy about.

Anyhoo, I have 6 months left on my card and think I should try some other stuff. Any suggestions???

Get some good bud and a vaporizer. That way you'll feel it quicker and be able to better regulate your intake. Also, leave the booze in the closet. You're trying to see if this will help, not get so fucked up that Bill Cosby would hit it.

Idiots like Trev intentionally sabotage their edible effort, having fun and enjoying themselves on marijuana would violate their world view.

Trev = Maureen Dowd.
