Until I read this over the last couple days, I didn't remember Piazza being suspected of roids
His power numbers + his draft position + the locker room stories of his aggressive bacne is what got the ball rolling.

I've said it before.....I'll vote for keeping roiders out as soon as they weed out the Amphetimine users.

I say let the 'roiders in. Bonds numbers are crazy and if he hadn't become a 'roid monkey, he'd still likely be over 500 in the HR total. Same applies to Clemens. Roids definitely helped his later career, but, dude could get in solely on his pre-roid days with the red sux.

R-Jack hit the nail on the head. Until the HOF is completely clear of every single cheater, user, etc then there is no reason to keep anyone out based on an assumption or admission of using steroids.

Only in because of his power numbers. He was a terrible defensive catcher.

You sure? I heard he was quite adept at giving a large target in the crouch and never let balls get past him.

Only 113 Major league catchers who ever played the game had a better career fielding percentage than Piazza. Sure, he made his name with his power and average, but he wasn't quite the horrible defensive catcher you imagine.

Bonds and Clemens should be in.
According to teammates, he started his rookie year.

Fuck, that list is over 50% juicers.

He was usually near the bottom of MLB in that stat every year. He was generally #1 at not allowing passed balls (but that joke has already been covered).
