If I had 88 money, I would be looking real hard at a new Mustang GT350R. I am sure I would have the time of my life in that thing for a few days before losing my license or wrapping it around a tree. Go check out youtube vids of it. 8200 rpm of flat plane crank V-8 glory. Now that my shanty is paid off, I suppose I could mortgage my way into one.....Hmmmmm.

Anyhoo, nice rig. I used to think that SUVs for suburban housewives....and lawyers, was the stupidest thing ever, but these crossover rigs are pretty damn nice. And they drive pretty much like a car and don't give up that much, mileage-wise.

I rented a mazda CX5 last year for a week that was a very nice little rig I could see myself buying. I am currently in a Chevy Trax, which is a tinny little turd that I would never buy, but it is functional enough. It is too bad that everyone thinks station wagons aren't cool. America never lost its appetite for station wagons. They still buy them. They just happen to be a little taller and with AWD. The Germans seem to be the only ones still making station wagons because, well, they are practical germans and they are performance freaks.

Must be way below average to end up having to buy a new ride. Got my Hyundai Sonata in 2010 thinking it will be the last car I buy. Sadly you never know when that young cowboy or old fart not paying attention plows into you. Got my fingers crossed that when I retire from driving, it will be with an almost antique.

What's the statutes of limitation on Whiplash? I'm pretty sure you could get some $$$$ for the pain and suffering. My dad was rear-ended, just like your situation, was too proud to file a claim, and then suffered the rest of his life with back/neck pain and numbness in his arm.

Still have my '99 F250 4x4 Crew Cab, which I actually bought new but now sits in the driveway 98% of the time looking really ugly. It does come in handy though and I'll never get rid of it. No problem carrying those 23 landscape timbers, or the 1800 lb of granite riprap rubble that I picked up last weekend.

Auto tech seems to be exploding these days. My 2013 Fusion isn't completely up to date but I do appreciate the hands free blue tooth connection and the backup camera. I can now pull through a parking space and back up to the white line within a few inches without getting out to look.

The Pilot I drove was tricked out to the max. Big. Powerful. And basically too much of everything. I was trying to imagine a pickup truck that was a Pilot with a box on the back. Too much rig for me.

Yea, some are a little short of a spacecraft. My wife was car shopping last year. First car we have bought in 10 years. Some of the German models need a simulator so you can train up. She got a Nissan Altima. Not bad for a chick car.

Pretty shweet. Get a new Stingray. Looks almost exactly like it and performs every bit as well. Maybe even better in real world driving. And you can get it for the taxes in the Ferrari.
