RIP Scott the Shrubber

Whether you liked him or hated him Shrubb was one interesting guy. Scott passed away this morning from what cause I don't know as of yet. I met him and his family at Disneyworld several years back and had a great time, he had a beautiful wife and two daughters and was a very proud dad. In a way I'll miss some of the crazy ass late night calls.
Anyways..At least he isn't in pain anymore.
Rest in peace Scott Boudet
:(

RIP RTS. Yes, he had medical issues beyond mine. When I check out, probably the only way you'll know is when I no longer post or do T1B radio.

Let us know if his family has a go fund me. I doubt his health issues came cheap.

I think he was the last FSU fan to post in BTPCFB for a long time.
One of my first smack sessions on the Rome board.
RIP, Southern Man.

Sounds like Shrubber's passing was not a huge shock:
Timothy Scott Boudet, 53, of Tallahassee, Florida left his earthly pain and suffering behind and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday April 23, 2016 while at the Big Bend Hospice House. Scott was born in Vero Beach, Florida to James and Linda Boudet. Scott studied Operatic voice at FSU and performed in several operas at FSU as well as musicals in Tallahassee and Vero Beach. Scott was a probation and parole officer with the DOC in Stuart, FL and worked in the Dept. of Children and Family Services, and the Dept. of Juvenile Justice in Tallahassee. Scott spent the last 13 years disabled after multiple back surgeries and other health issues. Scott loved to play golf, cook, garden and give his vegetables to the neighbors, read, and attend FSU football and baseball games. He was one the original “animals” group at the FSU baseball games in the 1980’s. He was a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. Scott had a friendship with science fiction author Alan Dean Foster and ran a blog for him. Scott was a member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Tallahassee.
Scott is survived by his wife of 29 years Janet Robbins Boudet, daughters Kate Boudet of Chicago and Annie Boudet of Tallahassee; his mother Linda Boudet of Vero Beach, brothers Jim (Teresa) Boudet of Vero Beach, Marc (Susan) Boudet of Boca Raton, sisters Shari (Jerry) Ball of Lexington, KY and Jennifer (Kevin) Deany of Vero Beach, as well as uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Scott requested that his body be donated to the FSU Medical School. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke’s Anglican church sound system fund or Big Bend Hospice, for their outstanding care to him and his family. Todd Wahlquist with Bevis Funeral Home is assisting the family with their arrangements. 850-385-2193,

It is, and despite everything (he provided no shortage of fodder) for which he got roundly smacked on this board and others, he was a decent guy from what I could tell based on the limited personal interaction I had with him. That interaction was limited to a couple days in NOLA over a decade ago, and even though he had some, shall we say, idiosyncrasies, he wasn't a dick and was someone who could fun to be around, especially when health wasn't an issue. I know he was in a lot of pain and was severely limited physically for the past several years, so if there's a bright side to the story, it's that he no longer has to deal with that.
Later, Shrubber.

Did he injure his back or just have a fukked up one? Is that what he passed from? Rack him for being a Med School guinea pig. I am thinking of doing the same. Beats laying in a hole for eternity and saves my heirs a few bucks all at the same time. I think big funerals are the single largest waste of money going, followed closely by SS weddings.

Damn it. Thans for the weirdness, late out-of-order phone calls and associated hi-jinx that were the Shrub. Just spoke to the guy a month ago and had no idea this was around the corner. RIP dude. T and P for his family.
