No, not a beer snob topic.

Special Ed's Brewery

Horrible branding for today's delicate cultural sensitivities, but I still laughed.

You should try these too. I hear they're really popular with the ladies after mani-pedi's or yoga class.

1) Missed the point.

b) That is not beer.

iii) Call me a weather pussy all you want but mowing the lawn in those conditions is fucking stupid. Unless you have a riding mower, then what are you bitching about?

So, if you have to drink domestic macro-swill, what is your go-to? Lately, I have become quite a fan of Yuengling. have a 12 of black and tan in the fridge currently. Not bad at all. I am a particular fan of Yuengling on tap.

Around here most restaurants stock kegs of Sam Adams seasonal. I roll with that if nothing else is available. If there's not even that available, I'll find something on the wine menu.

Hard to go wrong with any of the SA seasonals. The only problem with their winter lager is that I can't get it all year. And I guess you do have to call it a macro, based on quantity made. Rack them for doing a pretty good job of keeping quality up while making enough to fill a supertanker every week.

Big fan of Sam Adams but that Noble Pils is horse piss with vinegar mixed in.

Just had dinner with the OL in Newport. There was a grapefruit shandy on the menu. I tried a sample. Meh. I was in the mood for a good cold beer after doing the entire cliff walk. Went with Stella on tap. I Ana big fan of it in the bottle. This was the first time I had it on tap. Won't be the last. I think this is what beer snob call a session beer. I could pound that stuff all night. Damn did it hit the spot.

There's already a beer that mocks retards. It's called Bud Light.

I understand that there is no discernible difference between Stella and Heineken. Just like Miller and Budweiser, they use the same hops and processing technique resulting in an identical flavor. I'm in the Sebastapol area and had a North Coast Old Rasputin which was terrific. I wouldn't want to drink more than two in a row without throwing a pale ale in there, but those are almost like drinking your dinner.

I suppose if I stored a 12 pack of Stella in my trunk all summer, it might taste like Heineken. I have tried both. Heineken is highly overrated skunky pisswater. I would rather drink rice lite. While rice lite has no good flavor to speak of, it isn't skunky. Stella, IMHO is about as good as it gets if you are looking for something that tastes great and goes down easy enough to drink a 12 pack of it.

While Stellas is certainly better than Heiniken, it's still overpriced swill. That's the problem with most of these "premium" macrobrews. The difference in quality is negligible than the non-premium ones yet they are still more expensive.

So, what would you consider acceptably priced swill?

Uh no, it's not.

I don't know any self-respecting beer snobs who drink Stella or Hineykin.

Not sure what the market value of your sack juice has to do with whether or not Stella/Heiney is acceptable to snobs. Anyhoo, I never claimed Stella was beer snob worthy. I just said that I really liked it. I frequently find that beer snob is synonymous with hop head to some, if that is oyur measure than no, Stella is most certainly not BS worthy.

They are two unrelated items in the same post. Two separate paragraphs. Like walking and chewing gum at the same time. As opposed to the suckaholic posting method which would be to post numerous replies one after the other in the same thread. Tard.

my bad. your post was 2 separate paragraphs which would infer two thoughts, but you only include one of my thoughts which made me think both statements were regarding it. a proper reply would include a bit of extra html gymnastics and that can be a challenge when you are in the early (or not so early) stages of dementia.

Budweiser, MGD or Coors Regular. I have been drinking MGD lately because it is relatively cheaper than Bud at my local shithole and is basically the same thing.

Forgot about MGD. Haven't had it in ages, but do recall it being fairly swillable on a hot day. I guess they all are if it's hot enough though. Still rather have a Stella. Or if I have to go domestic macro swill, Yuengling is better, IMO and possibly cheaper. And Yuengling on tap gives Stella on tap a good run for its money, or a little less money, actually.

Back in my swill-drinking days, I thought there was a world of difference between Bud (goat piss), MGD (horse piss) and Coors (monkey piss). If you see no difference between Bud and MGD, you truly have incredibly non-functioning taste buds. You might as well drink from your mop bucket. If you aren't already.

I think I speak for most here in complementing your talents regarding the ability to identify various species urine.

Do you do it simply by taste or do you include smell and "mouth feel" when making decisions?

Had some of this yesterday with brisket off the smoker.
It wasn't swill.

For just regular swilling 5-6 on a Saturday afternoon/evening I will just pick up a six pack of Corona.

Burned out on the over hopped IPA's that are so common these days.

Corona is just a little too close to the coors lite end of the scale for my taste.

That is a fair, but I think it has just a little bit more taste then Coor's Light. The plus for Corona is that once in awhile you might come across a particularly rank one that seem to confirm the urban legend that the Mexicans pissed in the batches for the northern gringos, :P .
