I suspect long guns with scopes will be the new bogeyman that we need to get rid of, as they were likely used by rooftop snipers. These would be the same ones that the libtard gun nazis claim they aren't after in an attempt to appease Billy-bob and Ricky.

That race war people have been talking about for years is nearly upon us. We can expect a major push for national gun control as the government's answer to these shootings. Meanwhile there will be more talk about the racial divide and how white privilege is to blame, more coddling of BLM, and almost no discussion about how Clinton has avoided paying for her crimes. Then, with a Clinton presidency, a lost Senate, and a Supreme Court stacked with liberal activist judges, the 1st, 2nd, and 5th Amendment will be ignored-- never rescinded, mind you, just ignored and given a pass by the SC.

Papa Willie is right-- all of a sudden we're not talking about Hillary's massive violation of the law and the exposure of highly classified national secrets. Instead the media and the Left is going to focus on gun control (esp. those terrible, awful, horrible "assault weapons). And when? Right before both party's national conventions. Wow, the timing couldn't be any better. Already Obama is calling for more gun control. Brown in Cal has severely restricted guns, Hawaii has severely restricted guns, and now there is impetus to do this all across the country.

I wouldn't say that this guy in Dallas had purposefully chosen his timing for this effect, but unquestionably this is the desired end result of the Saul Alinsky/Marxist agenda the Left has been working on for generations. With Obama and the rise of radical Islam, it is all coming together for the-- how did Obama say it? Oh yes, "the transformation of America.

"Micah X" is what he called himself. "I want to kill white people." Now there are plenty of BLM apologists who will say that this man cannot be racist even after saying this, because of the history of slavery in the United States, but that too just feeds into the narrative of the Alinskyites that the US must be brought down by any means necessary. Racial tensions happen to be the most convenient method to accomplish this.

They bear no responsibility. They weren't there, didn't pull any triggers, and didn't order or contract out the shootings. You don't have to like them, their messages, their prominence, their worth to society, or their looks, but to assign any level of responsibility to them is childish and absurd. What happened to the notion of individual responsibility?

I don't agree with the messages folks like Sharpton and Jackson send to the "black community" (whatever that means) regarding the position they perceive they're in, basically blaming white establishment, and believe a more positive and beneficial message would be for them to encourage assimilation (which can be done without becoming Uncle Tom), personal responsibility, and to better themselves through education and hard work. That's not to say they don't face racism and less than equal opportunity in many cases, but the vast majority of us, regardless of race or color, have to overcome some form of adversity and do it in a law-abiding and rational manner. Sure, I'm not black and don't know what it's like to be black in America, but I cannot envision myself blaming others for my lot in life if I were, assuming I still subscribed to the belief that in most cases, responsibility for my well-being rests primarily with me. I say primarily because we all fall victim, to varying degrees, to circumstances beyond our control. But to blame others for everything bad that happens to me is a self-defeating, no-win attitude.

The mainstream media, while not responsible for the killings, contributes to the resentment among blacks and others through the unnecessary and divisive use of adjectives. I'll admit, I get the urge to inflict bodily harm on news writers and reporters who start off stories with such phrases as "an unarmed black man was shot by a white police officer." Why not just report the story without the adjectives? Show the video clips when they're available, and let the viewing audience see for themselves the colors of the parties involved. And why not report, again without adjectives, the far more common stories in which cops shoot white people? The questions are rhetorical - I know the answers. Sensationalism = ratings = mo' $$.

News reporting has never been unbiased and has always, to some degree, been part entertainment and part informational, but the pendulum has swung far more toward entertainment, self-promotion, and ratings in recent years and away from objective reporting of facts surrounding meaningful events. The content of most network newscasts is probably >80% fluff rather than what I would consider to be hard news. Why? Because that's what most of us want, and stories about Justin Bieber and the Kardashians generate greater viewership than stories about lawmaking, economics, and matters that truly impact most of us. With so little time available in which to mix those types of stories, the sensational ones get top billing - if it bleeds, it leads.

I don't have the answers to what it will take to cure our sick society - perhaps we're terminally ill. We have horrendous options from which to choose regarding political leadership, and I can think of no one, inside or outside of politics, who could make any meaningful progress in reversing the trend toward national self-destruction. Of course, not everything is bad. When Dickens wrote, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times," he was describing any given point in history, including today. It's all about perspective. But it sure does seem tough of late to defend the "best of times" position, what with ISIS and other terrorists wreaking global havoc, lunatics committing mass murders, lack of accountability and justice for those in positions of authority, the widening gap between the haves and have-nots, and the Dodgers failing once again to meet expectations based on payroll. I simply have lots of questions that no one can satisfactorily answer, and while still holding out hope, am not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

So what can be done? Nothing, as far as I can tell, so the best recourse is escape from reality, and regarding the media's tendency toward self-promotion, since I can't beat 'em, I'll join 'em...

After two weeks away from the studio, I'm back tonight, bitches! Beyond just balck people, as has been mentioned before, the problem is with police extrajudiciously killing people PERIOD and getting away with it. Now that everyone is armed with pocket cameras, it's not as easy to get away with it as it used to be.

I agree with all you say other than a few points.

The Dodgers are fukking pikers when it comes to baseball lack of bang for the buck compared to the yanks and sux most years.

And anyone who feeds the narrative that white cops in any meaningful are racist and shoot balcks just cause they feel like are a big part of the problem. We will always have asshole nutjobs of all colors, but having a chorus of self serving shitstain politicians telling them that they are justified to feel the way they do, encourages them and very well be enough to push them over the edge. When Obama looks at cases where cops are clearly justified, such as Mike the gentle giant Brown and remarks that we have a racist white cop problem, how the fukk does this not have an effect.

The media has been playing the shit out of the MN video where the fiance said that they were pulled over for a broken taillight. What happened to the days when the media actually waited to verify information before going with it? In this case they went with the dooshbag g/f's statement that they "weren't do'in nuffin" w/o verifying if that was the case. Why? Because it stoked the flames of division, which brings ratings & clicks. How many of the media outlets will issue a mea culpa when it's revealed that she was lying?

We all have choices when presented with information regardless of its validity. Most of us choose not to react violently even when tempted to do otherwise. Those who opt for violence are solely responsible for their actions.

Way to paint with only the broad brush. Verbiage I used such as in most cases and primarily indicate there are exceptions that must be handled as such (i.e., litigation). Being truly victimized by JUBM is a specific exception. Not breaking laws and not resisting arrest are mitigation strategies for minimizing (not eliminating) the chances of becoming a JUBM victim. My point had more to do with the general attitude of "my life sucks 'cuz I be black" held by more than a few citizens of color.

How's that workin' out for 'em? If they want to lawfully and peacefully protest, I have no problem with that. Are you trying to say what happened in Dallas was justified and that you believe it will result in positive change for blacks there and elsewhere?

If you're trying to make the point that the deck is stacked against blacks in America simply by virtue of their color, you'll get no argument from me. Obstacles and adversity have to be overcome. The issue then becomes at the individual and collective levels, what can and should be done to remedy it? It seems as if the point you're trying to make is that they've exhausted all legal and peaceful means, and all they're left with is violence. Is that what you're driving at?

The major malfunction is that black people aren't smart enough to be doctors, or lawyers, or jet pilots, or policemen at their population levels. If 50 percent of blacks can't graduate high school....how do you expect them to succeed?

The fact remains, and one of the greatest posts ever on smackchat was from "Voice of Reason". The worst thing that ever happened to blacks was to bring them to civilization. They were created for the African desert and craving weapons from a piece of stone and sneaking up on a gazelle. The genetics of blacks is the complete opposite of America. They are hunter and gathers by nature. The most humane thing we can do for them is either return them to the jungle or grant them separate by equal reservations.
