Go ahead and defend this clown. He was shooting at a man in the middle of an autistic meltdown, sitting in the road with a toy truck because he posed a threat to what?

Oh, and he missed his target, at point blank range and hit the black guy next to him. Confused, scared and incompetent is no way to be a cop.

Have a close friend who is a former SWAT guy from Nawlins but lost his job after Katrina when they scaled back... really nice guy, dumber than a box of rocks though. Only anecdotal.

Too many under qualified police officers in modern society, which is why I wince at all the police chiefs saying they're hiring for if people want to change the way communities are policed. I'd prefer fewer badges on the streets if more of them were honestly qualified to do the job.
