Rack this heat wave!

It is hotter than fucking hell here in, where else? And the chicks are adjusting by wearing fewer clothes. Lucky us!

DC is such a great place. You rotting shitbags can rip us while stroking your cranks. But you're bitter and jealous. You WISH you lived here instead of your festering toilets like say Macon, GA.

It was 102 here on Friday. Down to about 96 yesterday.
Excellent pool weather.

BTW I read that it was 74 in San Diego yesterday and about 60 in Eureka.

We're into our summer/rainy season. Been here 15 years and never saw an air temperature above 96ºF. This week's forecast has it at 91º high all week with usual daily rain showers, known as free water is these parts. Biggest issue is keeping the sub-tropical rain forest from growing on my property. I've gone out on a limb and predicted no hurricane for SW FL this year. Life is good.

Supposed to hit 79º today, but head all the way up to 86º on Friday. Too warm for me!

But it's the overnight temps that kill me. Supposed to hit 61º-63º, and it gets uncomfortable for sleeping above 55º.

We had a cool June, never got to 90. July started out that way, but now we are 2 weeks into the dreaded triple H shit. and seeing as I don't have to climb on my roof and shovel heat, I am not going to complain.

Have they increased the marina fees again this year? Seriously, fuck those guys. Add onto that the continued shitty condition of their golf carts...and I'm honestly reconsidering booking somewhere else next year.

The part I don't understand is the news stories about how the "heat wave" is deadly. Temps reach upper 80s or low 90s and people start falling like dominos. Meanwhile in AZ and NV the temp is almost 30 hotter and yet people aren't dying.

Of course. You don't have a car or a washer and dryer. Just a streak of drying pre-cum across your forehead.

It's been in the 90's here with no end in sight and I plan on hitting the beach tomorrow where it will hopefully be 15 degrees cooler.

You need it spelled out for you? Can you walk & chew gum w/o tripping?

Why do you think I'm walking around in a sleeveless shirt in 50º weather in winter when people in San Diego will be throwing on jackets?

Tell that to the National Weather Service. Or the news outlet here that reported it. I give a shit.

Or perhaps they were just reporting the max of each but they didn't occur simultaneously?

This shit is easy to look up.

Highest dew point (the temperature at which water starts to condense, basically a measure of how much moisture is in the air) in the past three days was 79 deg (90 deg and 70% RH with a "heat index" of 106) and a few hours at 78 deg.

Not 94 and 94 but I'd say Goobs was sweating at little, even at his age.

It could happen - but maybe only in a sauna.

I was in Tallahassee one time on a project and at about 9:00 a.m.it was around 85 deg and the fog was just lifting, so essentially 100% RH. That reinforced my previous inclination not to move to Florida.

Meanwhile, in other news, John Kerry says air conditioning is more deadly than ISIS.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/07 ... -isis.html
“As we were working together on the challenge of [ISIS] and terrorism,” Kerry said. “It’s hard for some people to grasp it, but what we–you–are doing here right now is of equal importance because it has the ability to literally save life on the planet itself.” Kerry was in Vienna to amend the 1987 Montreal Protocol that would phase out hydrofluorocarbons, or HFCs, from basic household and commercial appliances like air conditioners, refrigerators, and inhalers.

So punch yourselves in the balls, guys. You're worse than a bunch of Middle Eastern savages for complaining about the heat. You don't see Abu-Kaboom complaining about a little bit of summer sunshine, do you?
