I noticed from the stream banner that Wolfie/Smackie ended their set with a Siegel-Schwall tune. Haven't heard them in years. Used to see them in a local club for 75 cents on a Friday night back in 1970-74. Corky Sigel is still the best harp player I've ever seen. Jim Schwall still does some solo sets around town.
Saw them do this one more than once:

I've had this album since I was a kid.Goober McTuber wrote:I noticed from the stream banner that Wolfie/Smackie ended their set with a Siegel-Schwall tune. Haven't heard them in years. Long story:
I'd never heard of them until I went to a show Frost Amphitheater on the Stanford campus, probable 1972. Back then there was an annual benefit for the Children's Hospital where Arthur Fiedler (famous conductor back then for the Boston Pops) would come out to conduct a pops concert with the San Francisco Symphony. They always included a guest performer from jazz, blues, rock or whatnot. One year we saw Benny Goodman, one year it was George Shearing, one year it was the Siegel-Schwall Blues band. I was so impressed I went straight out and bought that album. I was always amazed that I was the only person who had ever heard of them.
OK just sort of long.
