Harbaugh has been pretty well behaved the last couple years on the sidelines, no temper tantrums or anything like when he was with the Niners. I want to see OSU make him absolutely lose his shit on Saturday. Then Carr Guy and all the Walmart Wolverines will follow in turn. It will be glorious.

I hate Meyer but his program is the measuring stick. The most arrogant Michigan fan can't pretend that if they don't win Saturday, the Wolverines aren't back entirely. They caught State in a down year, they've got a few wins over teams in the top 10 but this is the game that measures where they really are in the national picture.

I can't pick Michigan to win this game until they can prove they can do it. Gun to my head, I say Ohio State will win.

That is some seriously cowardly scheduling. osu and cum should win this one by 20.

Dan Dakich cracks me up. His employer is going overboard trying to pump this UM/Ohio State game up. Then during a broadcast he drops a "Michigan/Ohio State isn't a rivalry. You gotta win once in a while for it to be a rivalry."

Oh, and his son is on the UM basketball team.

No road games out of conference isn't defensible. They at least went out to Salt Lake City to open last year. Can't do anything about the conference slate...4 home and 4 away, pretty sure that's what every school gets.

I think next year they move to 9 conference games...Michigan opens with Florida at Jerry World.

And the Pac-12 plays 9 conference games...teams will play 4 or 5 games on the road.

Alabama played 4 times on the road...one neutral site.

Ohio State played 5 road games...4 conference and one at Oklahoma.

Perfect world, every team plays 6 home and 6 away but unfortunately all the big programs don't want to give up the extra home dates. More than likely, we'll see most do 7 home and 5 away/neutral site.

You think of how much that Oklahoma win does wonders for the Buckeyes' resume. If you sub out a game at Oklahoma for a MAC opponent at the Horseshoe...are they on as firm ground as an at large? Teams should learn that scheduling one tough out of conference opponent can only help. It hasn't hurt Oklahoma too bad that they lost that game. They can still get in as a conference unbeaten.

I can't defend Michigan's schedule. If roles were reversed today (where Michigan was tied with Penn State instead of Ohio State) and the schedules were still the same...Michigan doesn't have as strong of a resume to get in as a 1-loss at large.

They've got the win over Colorado but it was mostly without Liufau. To be fair, Michigan was without Jourdan Lewis the entire game.

This is the type of Ohio State-Michigan game you want...both teams with something to play for. If you lose, you're out of the playoff mix.

exactly, on both counts.

the playoff is "better" than the BCS or old bowl system in determining a champion on the field....but, it's still has the same moronic media coverage hype as it's predecessors. "the computer", "the committee"....ATM was in the first playoff ranking and media personality talking head experts were freaking out about UW "being left out" with a month of football to play. contrived or not, who cares? it's tedious and endless drivel from pundits.

Defense owning this game. Both offenses trying hard to lose the game. If it wasn't for a couple offensive turnovers, UM could be up by a few scores.

Stupid fake punt call by Meyer, too.

^^^ It was awesome! He was bitter over getting shafted on a couple of calls and he just wouldn't take it anymore. Unfortunately for him and scUM fan OSU scored because of his dumbassness.

Ohio State's best offense is Wilton Speight.

can someone essplain to me why Urban and tOSU have decided that JT is a dropback pocket passer? it's like they are calling plays for Mike Tomczak.

get him out in space...Herbstreit said UM hasn't seen a run-pass guy all season. he got 40+ yards the one time he tucks and runs....in the 4th quarter...(!)

A fuckin' classic...I'm sick to my stomach but they had every chance to win this game outright. Speight's mistakes were costly in letting the Buckeyes to show signs of life. The Michigan defense was dominant for 3 quarters. Barrett made some big plays in the 4th quarter.

I hate that windbreaker-wearing fuck but he can coach.

The fake punt was probably meant to change momentum but that failed. The second Speight INT was a killer. The botched snap near the goal line hurt too. They didn't make a lot of mistakes but the ones they made, they were gigantic.

What a classy bunch they both are.

Harbaugh blaming the loss on the refs, tOSU fans getting in the faces of the UM players as they left, then surrounding their bus to taunt them after they'd showered...

Stay classy, Upper Midwest!

Fuck, Oregon and UDub hate each other every bit as much as y'all's... but once the game is over, it's over. Grow the fuck up, douchebags.

Congrats on putting those two clauses together in an internet post.

I think you may be a pioneer.

Because ND fan is... from the Upper Midwest (see above). But it's beyond that -- they attract fans from across the country, based on... a religion that promotes child rape.

And to the Upper Midwesterners here... sorry, but it's not me... it's you. Own it. It's what you do. I still haven't forgotten MSU fan burning their town down after winning a championship, or losing one.

WTF is wrong with you people?

Harbaugh does Harbaugh things. I guess I'm not surprised he'd call out the refs considering how lost his shit doing the game. Not saying he's right...but he is one of those coaches that will work the refs to show that he's got his players' back.

The Peppers thing...not a good optic but what the hell were those students doing on the field anyway? Why are you storming the field against a team you've beaten soundly since the turn of the millennium?

And yet you say you would never endorse Udub for the final four, even with a one loss record and the PAC12 championship.
How do you reconcile that?

I can draw a distinction between the team and their fans.
