I don't know the body count during Barry's tenure, but, I don't recall anyone on either side of the isle making such an outrageous statement. How many of your brother aviators didn't make it home? Were their missions failures? How about the thousands of Americans buried at Normandy?

But there was also something about killing a bunch of civilians, having to destroy a $75 million aircraft to keep it from being captured and souring our relationship with a country that's supposed to be supportive our our anti-terrorism mission.

Yes, sometimes missions aren't as successful as you'd like. A good guy dying always sucks. Losing expensive equipment sucks. But to publicly play monday morning QB and imply that the CiC fukked up is dead fukking wrong.

Direct question: Care to cite which Article of the Constitution grants the feds the power to establish a Department of Education? Take your time... and when you fail, I'll point out the part which says they can't. Time for that travesty to go away. Dins is correct. The feds have absolutely no authority operating a dept of ed. This country became a superpower and pwned the 20th century without one. And education results, measured by anyone's yardstick, has taken a dive since it was begun.
