Drive-ins ruled. There are a few left. I helped run a summer operation in Cortland NY with two other guys back in 1973. Quite the experience. I was ticket guy, helped out in the concession stand when needed, and did clean up for the last half of the summer. All the things that happened I could make a movie of, ala "Car Wash", squeezing it all into one night. Someone should make a movie like that.

Used to go to drive-ins with my parents when I was a kid, and then later as a teenager.
This sounds like a dumb idea. Nostalgia will only get you so far. Pay $20 to sit in an old car indoors and watch a movie? No thanks. Are they going to hang one of those speaker things on the window as well?

Goobs worked in a theater back in the day. He was the piano player.

Most drive-ins got rid of those years ago, replaced with low watt AM radio transmission. I bet Roach had to replace a few as some jackasses stole them or drove off forgetting to unhook them. Clean up was gross. I hated to do the women's bathrooms. Expected to find an abortion in them, bloody tampons were bad enough.

Thanks to VPOTUS, you might once again find one there.
