This story has some interest in it for me because of the helicopter angle and because I am typed in that particular aircraft. It took some digging, but from what I can find she's a lesbian who came home one night and punched out her significant other during a domestic argument. She failed to report her subsequent arrest to her chain of command and is now in Marine Corps limbo Hell. She'll likely be drummed out of the service due to conduct unbecoming an officer.

So I have a few questions about the nature of something like this. What determines in a lesbian relationship who is the wife and who is the husband? As women (this question stemming from my benighted cis white male world view) wouldn't they both be wives? Do they play rock-paper-scissors (there's a joke in there if you care to look for it) to determine who is the husband any given day or does the weaker one just get stuck doing dishes and laundry because she can't beat up the tougher/meaner one?

On an unrelated note, while watching AFN I have found it incredibly disconcerting to see commercials for LGBT month wherein they play up the whole gay pride thing. It's a major shock to see this when even in civilian television you don't get the whole "I'm here and I'm queer" homo shtick. Social, change, I guess.

Oh, rules.

I get the most laugh out of some guy, like on Wheel of Fortune, talking about his HUSBAND. Don't they realize how silly that sounds? Seems like words like PARTNER, or just plain SPOUSE would work best. Guess not.

Wolfman answered it.

A wife is a female spouse. Two female spouses, two wives. Two male spouses, two husbands.

When polygamy becomes mainstream again, same deals. You're really asking about primary and secondary partners, right?

Why isn't the bitch in jail for domestic abuse? Who cares about her limbo, she knocked her wife out.

Same as with you and your "partner". Whoever has the bigger dick gets to be the husband.
