Power washing the sidewalks of piss and crap might make people think of using hoses on civil rights activists. Implying that cleaning up the mess shouldn't be done cause it might hurt feelings.

People set up tents in public city parks.

Just go out in the woods and dig slit trenchs and have 13,000 people pissing and shitting in them for a week. This bunch of freaks has been doing that in Central Oregon for several weeks now. Saw several bunchs of these filthy freaks last week over there. Makes old hippies look clean.

I went to one of those rainbow gatherings. At the time, 1990, it was described to me as a gathering of people who thought Grateful Dead shows were too establishment.

When we got there some hippie at the makeshift gate told me I had to tell a joke to get in. I replied, "Dan Quayle." He found that to be an acceptable joke and let me pass. The first thing we noticed is that it is a clothing-optional event. What you have to understand about clothing optional events is that the people who you do not want to see naked are usually the first people to take their clothes off. It was not pretty.

We found our way down to the council fire where the first person I saw asked me for a cigarette. It quickly became apparent that if I gave every single person I saw a cigarette I would be out of cigarettes in a matter of an hour. In fact the culture of bumming is pretty much the rainbow culture. In the old days they would have called it tramping or whatever. But your hardcore rainbow people are pretty well committed to not paying cash for much of anything except for maybe drugs.

The highlight of the whole gathering for me was the food tent. The 5% of the people who were actually committed to working through this gathering actually put out some really nice vegetarian dishes.

In general I found the whole experience to be as any free gathering would be. A lot of people sponging off of the labors of a few. I doubt it is changed any.

I thought all "liberals" lived like that all the time.

We were on our way over our place in Central Oregon first weekend that shit show was going on. There was a pickup load of them along side the road, the piece of shit truck had its hood up, some guy laying on the ground another walking the shoulder playing his fucking guitar. Now has we passed, an OSP officer was turning around to check them out, since an open hood in Oregon is an open invitation to any police officer to stop and "offer assistance". Pretty sure one of the 4 had to have a warrant.

Another car load was beside the road out of gas, 25 miles from nowhere, with a sign begging for gas. One dude stepped out in the road like he was going to stop me and I just mashed it down and rolled some coal on his filthy ass. The Feds on whoms ground there were illegally gathering, in cooperation with Grant County, set up a portable courthouse at the gathering site and processed all the crimes right on site,because it is not like they are coming back to go to court anytime soon. They made over 485 arrests, and took almost 300 people into custody on warrants of one kind.

They went into the store in John Day, cut open the meat packages, poured piss on them and the store had to throw them out. The scum bags then dumpster dived and got the piss marinated meat out and took it. We were sitting in the DQ in Sisters, and watched a couple of them come out with a couple six packs. They cracked two of them open, and got back in their car and were getting ready to head out. They of course were observed by an off duty deputy who dimed them out and got a car in there. Lo and behold they got some heroin out of that traffic stop.

Of course there are a bunch of them camped all over Central Oregon in various spots, waiting until that shit show eclipse next month, no doubt so they can drop acid and worship the sun gods. Chicken shits will leave before winter because their candy asses cannot take a high desert winter.

Here in Madtown there was a brief movement to name the City-County Building after Barack Obama. They decided that wouldn't be the best way to honor our first black president, seeing as that building houses the county jail, whose population is disproportionately black.
