False. The truth is the 1% pay somewhere are 45% of the individual taxes. The top 20% pay somewhere around 84% of individual taxes. Or the bottom 80% of earners only pay a total of 16% of the individual taxes in a given year.

So any tax cuts are going to have a much larger impact on the higher earners since they are paying way more than their fair share.

It's just a drop in the bucket, but many of them could and should fly commercial. Same goes for flag rank officers. Those fukkers have a fleet of small jets they fly around in, or at least used to. I know this for a fact as I once had my own personal lear jet ride from homestead to Langley. It was a jet that had flown down a few chairforce generals that was returning empty, so I hitched a ride.

I would allow churches/legit charities to continue their tax free status, but I would do away with ALL deductions. No charity deductions, no mortgage deductions, no magic electric shade tree deductions. We should have progressive rates. I would start it at a token rate, maybe .25% for poor folks, maybe 20% for someone making a million/year. But, unlike the current brackets that max out at a fairly low income (relatively speaking), I would ratchet it up gradually to maybe 35% for the crazy rich, say 30mil/year. Let those liberal rich cocksuckers in hollywood that can make 50 mil/yr put their money where their mouth is.

Again who cares? Wealth was already taxed when it was earned. But just for shits and grins an Article in the Atlantic has two different studies that estimate the top 1% earn between 18 and 23% of the income in a given year. Far below the percentage of the overall income taxes they are responsible for. The same studies estimate the 1% hold between 33% and 42% of the country's wealth. Again not surprising given they earn the most.

Clearly the 1% is paying more than their fair share given these numbers.

So they pay 10-20% more in taxes than they earn. Given all the extra stuff they get from the gov and the extra stuff they need to have protected it sounds about right.

The highest tax bracket last yr was 39%. So not sure how you paid 43%.
