They're valedictorians and rocket surgeons and shit. We will likely plunge into a depression without them.....but it's the right thing to do.

Most dreamers probably are good people, and I think our country benefits from them. The question isn't whether they're good people. The question is whether we want to hold firm and maintain orderly immigration and have all newcomers to this country follow the laws we have in place. We let one million immigrants into our country each year legally. It doesn't seem to me like the immigration laws we have in place are especially unfair. Immigrants and their children should respect our laws if they plan on living here. It is not asking too much of them. Freedom results from law and order, not from chaos.

As to the earthquakes, it would be interesting to learn how many Mexican dreamers are sending money to the cause. Just from the immigrants I've met and known in my life, my guess is that they're sending a lot. I don't have any problem with that.

From my experience, that's true. I did some quick research and couldn't find any reliable information telling exactly how much money they send and what the impact is on our economy, so I don't know how big of a problem it is.

According to NPR the amount of money sent to Mexico accounts for 2% of their GDP. 20% for El Salvador and Honduras. And 25% in Haiti.
