Week 7 Random Thoughts...

So apparently Gator Fan is not a fan of the new uniforms UF will wear this weekend:

Image

If your uniform has to change each week you have no brand. (Oregon is the exception as a different uniform each week is their brand.) Alternative uniforms are the same thing. These however might be the worst I have ever seen and that includes some of the Maryland crap.

Time to drain the swamp on this idea.

I'm an Oregon fan (for those who haven't been paying attention), and those UF unis are... ghastly.

Sure, Oregon lays an egg every once in a while... but c'mon.

BTW, since none of you have probably noticed -- Oregon toned the uniform thing way down this season. Been mostly green at home, and white on the road.

Would have had to have watched at least one of their games to notice.

I know it wasn't your point, Goobs (although you've missed some entertaining games), but that brings up... shitty PAC12 scheduling. Ducks have had a bunch of night games already. USC/Wazzu was on a Friday night. There's been all kinds of bullshit scheduling so far.

Ha Dins, by toned way down I guess you meant to say: six different color combos in six games.

Except for those citron (or whatever you call that color) outfits they wore last week.
Makes them look kind of like walking (or running if you will) traffic signs.

Trojans won't have enough players left to finish this season at the rate they're dropping
Thanks for the good news.

Too bad Stanford isn't in the Top 10, so we can make it 4.

Pretty sure Oregon isn’t either.
Too bad I have to miss the game. The OL bought opera tickets months ago so I’m stuck in LA for the night and I have to DVR the game.
Don’t tell me what happened OK?

BTW - having the OL haul you off to see the opera instead of going to the bar and watching BIG TIME POWER MOTHERFUCKING FOOTBALL?

That's gayer than fucking T.Hanksgiving.

Love may go for 1,000 yards tonight against the ducks.

115 yards in just over 4 minutes of the game.

My Ducks got shithammered (as expected).

If Western Michigan doesn't cover tomorrow (WTF?... goddammit, MAC), I'll get 1 right in the Pick'Em (Rack Meatchicken).

And those fucking piece of shit purple pieces of shit, fucked up pieces of purple shit lost. So all in all, things could be worse.

Fuck those shit eating pieces of shit.

Possibly more accurate:

Unhappy wife = miserable life.

Huh?

I watched football. I didn't go to the opera, nor did I watch Tom Hanks movies. I even made the bitch sit there and watch my team with me.

Because I don't need to "grow a pair." I was born with two that are plenty adequate enough that I don't have to choose between watching what I want, or sobbing to Wilson.

Actually, we had a package of tickets for two shows at the LA Opera, the opening performance of Nabucco (Verdi) on Saturday night, and a matinee on Sunday of Bizet's The Pearl Fishers. On Saturday Plácido Domingo had the title role and on Sunday he conducted the orchestra. Both shows featured outstanding performances by all participants and amazing production.

That being said...

49-7?

I wouldn't call that "BIG TIME." The LA Opera has better game than the ducklings.
(so did the jack rabbit for that matter)

Ungoddamnedreal.
Not only that, there wasn't a single game this week that matched two teams in the top 25. Yet four top the teams went down.

This is what makes BTPCFB so great.

David Shaw has had a lot of success as HC as Stanford.
As much as I hate to say it, he probably belongs in the NFL where the first four games don't actually count.

When the jackrabbit got loose and delayed the game, my first thought was "send Bryce Love out there -- he'll catch it."

With no decent QB (Burmeister was supposed to redshirt), the offense is not so good. The front 7 on D are actually playing pretty well, but with all freshmen at DB (OK, Arrion Springs is a senior, but he plays like a freshman), it doesn't matter much what the front 7 do. With Herbert, the last 2 games would likely have had much different results. But when they go 3 and out nearly every time, the defense is going to break down. So you get what we had here Saturday.

Hopefully get better at QB the next couple of years. A team needs more than 1 good one.
