I am a bit confused by the first quarter of this game. Georgia is bound and determined to throw on early downs, yet runs on 3rd and long and converts some. Bama had a good opening drive and then has gone stale.

Why do players have such a hard time not blocking in the back on kick plays? That BOB by Georgia #47 is just horrible. If you just stand beside the dude the return man can take one step and your body position will prevent the defender from making the tackle.

I am seeing a few tweets talking about the roof leaking. This apparently has been an ongoing problem at this stadium. $1.6 Billion just doesn't get you what it used to.

That offsides call on the blocked punt was bogus. The correct call should have been false start, however that too would have negated the false start. And as I am typing this it looks like there was a mediocre face mask by a Bama defender. I think the one finger in the mask along isn't enough to get that call. I am fine with that being a no call.

If getting one finger in the mask is grabbing then ok. But I think that the non call was fine.

On the long pass, I think replay got that correct. The call on the field was TD and the replay wasn't 100% that he stepped out of bounds.

Freshmen throwing some picks, wonder how amazing Herbstreit finds this.

Bama #48 is losing his mind. Threw what looked close to a punch which would have gotten him kicked out, and then went after a coach on the Bama sideline. Georgia has to be hoping he gets back in on special teams so they can bait him into more fouls.

Did that Bama player with #48 on his helmet just push his own coach? Wtf is going on in this game?

Seen a couple of Alabama games in person so was pulling for them. A tale of two halfs and OT. Turned out to be a great game, congrats to Alabama and Georgia for fine seasons.

Ok so the false start on the TD pass. Everything else was discussed and I am ok with. I still think the one finger face mask noncall is correct.

Bottom line: The refs did not fuck over UGA any worse on any one play than UGA fucked themselves. They had about twenty different opportunities to seal that game and couldn't do it.

On the sunny side for them, it appears the Dawgs have the right coach and it won't be another forty years before they get another shot, but who knows.
