I'm an Illinois native.
Born there and lived most of the first 35 years of my life there.

You may be aware that the state is broke.
Massive future financial obligations which can not possibly be met.
In financial crisis m0de now.

Seems the've kicked the can down the road as far as it can be kicked.
Time to -----> pay up.

The Chicago Tribune came out with a piece saying that the state situation is FUBAR.
They show a paln to have the state dissolved and absorbed by surrounding states.

Do you know who wanted slaves to count as a full person?

The slave states.....for representative allocation, even though the slaves would have no vote. The free states thought, rightfully so, IMO, that representation should be allocated according to prospective voters. They thought slaves shouldn't have been counted as they weren't considered citizens, but property.

Fortunately, Mrs Kazienko, my high school American History teacher wasn't a fukking moron and did a good job explaining this to us. I suspect today's PC explanation is that slaves were counted as 3/5th simply because the racist white devils hated them.
