CFB Rules Changes

So I am posting this here as it was a combined discussion between the NCAA and the NFL.
The biggest change will be fair catches on kickoffs. Any fair catch on a kickoff between the end line and the 25 yard line will move the ball to the 25. So a short high kickoff to the 5 yard line that is fair caught will next be snapped from the 25.
The other change will be the elimination of all blocks below the waist beyond 5 yards from the Line Of
Scrimmage.
Both of these are player safety moves. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised to see kickoffs eliminated in the next 5 years. The scoring team will get the ball back at their 35 with one play to get 10 yards. If they are successful they keep the ball, if they aren’t the opponent gets the ball wherever it became dead. Or the scoring team can elect to have the opponent put the ball in play at their 25.
