Somebody out there has to be willing to buy it and unfukk it.

Is part of the problem that there are no Jimi Hendrixes or Pete Townsends out there willing to light on fire or smash to bits their perfectly good guitars and buy new ones the next day?

Is it that people realize the old ones are so valuable, they take good care of them and they last forever? So, little demand for new ones?
