Public trust of the media has been eroding because of the 90% negative content and the constant supporting liberal political agendas.....the remaining airtime (51 minutes) consisted of mostly positive coverage (73% positive) for the rest of Trump’s economic agenda: job growth, tax reform, deregulation, and plans for more infrastructure spending. Yet this coverage has amounted to less than three percent of TV’s total coverage of the President this year.
The positive economic story is probably one reason why the public has rewarded Trump with higher approval ratings, despite the bad press. Another is that the public’s trust in the media has been eroding for years, which means that journalists are less credible critics than they might have been years ago.

newsbusters.org?

Newsbusters - Right bias
These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward conservative causes through story selection and/or political affiliation. They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage conservative causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy. See all Right Bias sources.
Factual Reporting: MIXED
Notes: Newbusters claims to expose liberal bias much like its parent website MRC, however this site is also very right wing biased like MRC and perhaps even less factual. Newsbusters uses extensive loaded words and always covers just one side of the story. That side always benefits conservatives and is against liberals.

Re: President’s Polls Improve Despite 90% Negative Coverage
So Goobs you disagree with their take that good news about job growth, tax reform, deregulation, and plans for more infrastructure spending amounts to less than 3% of TV'S total coverage of the president this year?
Or that the public distrusts the media?
From my point of view those takes are right on.

I'm not impressed by your source. I would expect this president to generate a fair amount of negative press. He lies as easily as he breathes. I don't consider the tax reform as a positive, particularly when combined with the budget. Deregulation is not necessarily a positive, depending on what is being deregulated.

Calling a piece of shit a piece of shit is not "negative reporting." It's telling the truth.
You all would rather the press call this piece of shit a sweet smelling rose. Sorry, that just doesn't work.

More importantly, it's what I see. Trump deserves some criticism, but 90%? No, not when he's made strides in Korea and unemployment is near record lows. He lies, and I don't like it, but could care less about affairs, like I did with Clinton. I never thought impeachment proceedings for his infidelity should have happened.Goober McTuber wrote:

He's done jack shit so far with Korea. North Korea has made promises before and broken them every time. He lies about a lot more things that affairs. He continually exaggerates lies about what he has accomplished.
On Friday the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the economy added 148,000 nonfarm jobs in December but only 139,000 when the revisions for October and November are included. A better way to understand how the job market is doing is to include the revisions and look at a multi-month average. This is especially important due to the impact of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma since September only added 38,000 jobs.
Updated BLS information now has Trump now only being behind Obama's last 4 years vs. 6.
These are the original and updated numbers.
2011: 2.091 million
2012: 2.142 million
2013: 2.302 million
2014: 2.998 millon
2015: 2.713 million
2016: 2.240 million
2017 original: 2.046 million
2017 updated: 2.188 million

Re: President’s Polls Improve Despite 90% Negative Coverage
For me it’s not so much the negative coverage, but the massive chasm between the fawning coverage of Obama, where the press did absolutely nothing in terms of critical examination of his speeches, policies, and his performance and the exact opposite reaction to Trump. That dichotomy is what has brought us to where we are when we look at how Americans view the press.
I love a distrustful press. I want them to test the veracity of everything a president says and does. I want the press to hold our government’s feet to the fire. But if they can’t do it to both party’s elected representatives on an equal basis, then they have abrogated their responsibilities and no longer serve a purpose and are simply propaganda for one side or the other.

The fact that there are scheduled peace talks is something Obama couldn..didn't do. No crying from pops today either, looks to be a great day indeed.

Re: President’s Polls Improve Despite 90% Negative Coverage
Trump is more popular than Dems want to admit
By Willie Brown San Francisco Chronicle
It’s time for the Democrats to stop bashing President Trump.
It’s not going to be easy, given his policies and personality. It might even mean checking into a 12-step program. But setting a winning agenda is like maneuvering an aircraft carrier. It takes time to change course. And if they want to be on target for the November midterm elections, the Democrats need to start changing course now.
President Trump’s policies remain popular with many Americans, which means Democrats need to find a campaign strategy beyond just bashing him. Trump is more popular than Dems want to admit
Like it or not, a significant number of Americans are actually happy these days. They are making money. They feel safe, and they agree with with the president’s protectionist trade policies, his call for more American jobs, even his immigration stance.
The jobs growth reports, the North Korea summit and the steady economy are beating out the Stormy Daniels scandal and the Robert Mueller investigation in Middle America, hands down.
So you are not going to win back the House by making it all about him.
Rather than stoking the base by attacking Trump, Democrats need to come up with a platform that addresses the average voters’ hopes and concerns. Not just the needs of underdogs or whatever cause happens to be the media flavor of the week.
Democrats need to look like the adults, not like another pack of screaming kids on the playground.
And they need to start yesterday.

The cancelling of the Korean summit certainly is a missed opportunity. The deal maker couldn't even attend and lay out his offer, because his offer stunk.
An offer to jump start N Korea's economy with American and European businesses would have been tough to turn down. Stating before hand that the US wasn't going to do so was dumb and the outcome predictable. Basically a one sided deal for N Korea with a limp dick promise that the UN would do what it could. A missed opportunity for Trump and American business.

Re: President’s Polls Improve Despite 90% Negative Coverage
Over the weekend, a number of left-wing activists, including Shaun King and Linda Sarsour began circulating images showing children in detention centers. Those children were being held after crossing the border illegally, many of them completely unaccompanied.
They claimed those pictures were of children who were separated from their families at the border by the Trump administration.
The only problem with that claim is that the pictures they used weren’t taken while President Trump was in office.
They came from a 2014 article by AZCentral, an Arizona based news site.
Even people close to former President Obama mirrored the lie, Jon Favreau, who was Obama’s speechwriter, tweeted out a link to the AZCentral article from 2014, stating.
“This is happening right now, and the only debate that matters is how we force our government to get these kids back to their families as fast as humanly possible,” Favreau included in his now-deleted Tweet.
While Favreau deleted his tweet, other liberal activists like King and Sarsour have refused to take them down; even after being informed that they were misleading people.
These tweets prove how clueless the left is.
These attacks show just how out of touch the anti-Trump movement is with reality.
For many years, immigration enforcement was a bi-partisan issue.
People from the likes of Barack Obama, to Hillary Clinton, and Nancy Pelosi supported building a border fence in order to secure the border.
Now that Trump is in office, they have vocally attacked the idea of securing the border, oftentimes without acknowledging their hypocrisy.....
