For spring break my in-laws took my family on the NCL Hawaii cruise. They had one of the owners suites and we had an adjoining penthouse. 1300 square feet of luxury and if you know anything about ships, that is a TON of space right in the front of the ship.

Anyway, the best part was the three rounds of golf we played.

Kauai Lagoons Kiele course overlooking the pacific and the cruise ship.
I parred the signature 16th as well.

Mauna Lani Resort South course with lava down every fairway and in the middle of some not to mention teeing off over the pacific on their signature 15th hole. You gotta play from the black at least on that hole.

Finished up with 18 at Wailea by playing the emerald course overlooking molokini island. Guy in the group behind us made a hole in one on the par 3 13th.

If I had web space I'd post some of my own pics, but I'm not that computer savy.

Jealous? Dude, you took a trip with the in-laws. Grow a set, will ya!
Why don't you top it off with telling us you played those rounds with your wife

Besides the obvious flaws that Cueball pointed out.......yeah, I'm jealous.......of the par.

Jealous? Damn right I am.

It's still 2-3 years away before I make that trip.
Golfing in Hawaii that is..

To hell with the cruise part though.. you can't play 36/day when you're on a boat.

Considering that particular room, with a butler, goes for about $9000.00 a week, I think I can live with the arrangement. Besides, my father in law is the one who got me back into the sport. Next on his list is Bandon Dunes and damn right I'll be more than obliged to join him.

Besides, the wumans folk don't golf so thats not a problem.

Otis, actually the ship sails mostly at night, so unless you're one of those late night golfers it shouldn't be a problem. Whats nice is you can golf on 4 different islands in 7 days and many different courses without hopping on and off planes during the day.

Whats the matter cueball, a little green?

Why should I be jealous?

I live in a sordid clambake where you can play golf 52 weeks a year, and you can play anytime for affordable prices, without leeching off the in-laws.

I live in a place where you can golf 52 weeks a year, too.....depending on how you feel about a little mud. Pretty sure LTL2 lives in such a place, too. :faggyfaggywinkwink:

I'm not sure how that detracts from the coolness of playing in other places.

And darnit, LTL.....I know this is the year I'm going to make it to Bandon Dunes. I guess they're building yet another 18 there.

Dins,
They're going to open Bandon Trails in June with a 737 full of special guests. That will be the biggest plane ever to land at the local airstrip.
They already have 1500 rounds on the books too.

Rack on the Geri Jewell pic!
