Somehow the majority of people in NY state elected her to the US senate. A bit of irony is that had there been an open seat in Illinois up for grabs that year, there probably would never have been a President Obama. A Senator Clinton would have created 200K new jobs for upstate IL and not NY (sarcasm intended).
