CA passes a new tax...on water

So CA has decided that each human should be limited to 55 gallons of indoor water use per person. For those that don’t comply there will be “fines.” However as we know from Obamacare, fines in such situations are taxes.

Further this law won’t pass the fines along to the end user, instead it will go to the water authority. So even if your family complied and lowers it usage to levels below what is considered normal you could still see a surcharge on your bill. If your neighbors don’t get on board you will foot their bill.

Props CA, can’t wait to see your next tax.

I'm sorry. Does California have easy access to plentiful potable water?

Not sure why anyone wonders why many citizens want to see the state split up. Another tax that will be coming down the pike before too long is the mileage tax, on miles driven per year.

In the UK they have a tax for each television in the household. I'm sure that won't be long in coming either. Taxes, legislation, and more taxes, it's what Democrats do.

They want to micro manage America, and turn it into the UK 2.0.

Sure they do you fucking moron. They just take it from other states and make all kinds of stupid government regulations that prevent them from developing their own sources of water so the gooks can still catch carp in the Delta.

It could— if it just made some basic changes that Gov. Moonbeam stopped decades ago. But, hey! Don’t let your crazy environmental agenda get in the way of stuff like, you know, flushing your toilet or taking a shower. Gotta save that Delta striped three eyed fish or whatever the cause d’jour is...

Yes actually they do. There a a couple of brackish aquifers that could provide all of the states household water needs for over a century.

Do you ever not kick your own ass?

People who don't understand the importance of anadromous fish should probably excuse themselves from the discussion.

Makes good fodder, though, for those who think that because we're at the top of the food chain, nothing further down the chain has any relevance.

Hint: it's the only reason anything grows north of SE Alaska. It's also a primary reason why western Oregon and Washing are more lush than places with similar climates.

Fodder and Chips.
Because good Catholics need to eat well on Fridays.
