THINK, tard.
So, let's say the House does impeach him for high crimes, and the Senate convicts.
We then inaugurate President Pence.
What happens next, dipshit?
Hint: it doesn't result in prison.

How is Trump allegedly going to prison associated with tax cuts being a good thing?

Oh. Then you, as a concerned citizen, should inform NY that their website is incorrect, since it says:Screw_Michigan wrote:WRONGDinsdale wrote: And he most certainly can be pardoned for state crimes... dipshit... tell me you knew?

Wait! There's a wastewater treatment plant that needs cleaning. Get on it.Presidents can pardon people only for federal crimes. Trump did so last week, pardoning Scooter Libby, former chief of staff for Vice President Dick Cheney, for obstructing justice, perjury and lying to the FBI.
But pardons, as a rule, do not prevent people from prosecution or punishment for violating state criminal laws.

So, to review -- the so-called "journalist"... and this is hard to wrap one's mind around... doesn't understand the difference between the terms "can't," and "probably won't."
But since he's fucking stupid, he did what stupid people do -- he doubled down on the stupid, and even when presented with verbatim NY law, still insists he's right.
And no wastewater plants for me today -- I finished replacing the computer system at a bank this week, so today I'm taking it easy, and I'm effortlessly presenting ample opportunities for you to make a fool of yourself, which you're seizing with tardlike glee. Might have to go play some golf later, too.
In short... Me > You

But you might try to explain to ScrewedInMyAssAgain that he "can," which is an everyday word that he seems to be struggling with, to the point he's actually arguing the point. I mean, I quoted the NY law that syas he "can," yet RetardInDC replied with "WRONG."

Again short bus rider. The tax cut is worth it. If Trump gets fired tomorrow it is worth it. Not sure A has anything to do B but who cares. I vote in every election for the candidate who will do my wallet the least amount of damage. IE fiscal policy.
The tax cut was a huge win. Period. Full stop.

Re: Manafort's going to prison
Or one can over react every day to anything Trump does, and when he's not in the news, cry impeachment. If Trump broke the law, he should pay his debt to society, but I haven't heard much on that front, meaning they probably don't have much. Likely less than they had on Hillary, a situation they decided was not worth prosecution. Meanwhile the FBI shit on itself during the election process, and is losing more credibility by the day.Bucmonkey wrote:Trump did nothing wrong, he saved the Koreas, his son will still save the Middle East, and America is now Great Again...awesomeness...Peace and prosperity the world over kids...

Re: Manafort's going to prison
News flash, moron. I know the difference between jail and prison. Make no mistake: Manafort's going to prison, short of Trump pardoning him. Which I give 50/50 odds. Trump's stupid enough to do it and then it's game on. But it's also game over.88 wrote:Manafort might be going to prison. But not now. Right now, he's going to jail. And there is a difference. Prison is where convicted people are sent to serve out their sentences. Jail, on the other hand, is where people who are not behaving properly during criminal court proceedings are held until the court case has been completed.
And as far as Trump is concerned, I've yet to see anything from anyone, Mueller included, that would give rise to an assertion that he is heading to prison (or jail) or will be impeached.
Nice ongoing troll job, by the way. If you stay in character for a few more years, you might actually qualify for a top level FBI position.
Peace out.

Re: Manafort's going to prison
Let’s be frank here— Manafort’s a dirtbag from waaaaaaaay back. When Trump hired him I was appalled because of his reputation. Then when the details of Manafort getting involved with Ukrainians and money laundering arose I just shook my head. In my opinion hiring Manafort as a campaign manager had no upside to it. Anything he brought to the table could have been gotten in spades from any number of out of work political hacks without the bad reputation and grimy background, but then Trump picked Corey Lewindowski too, so there ya go.
My belief is that in many ways Trump is a goomba from Noo Yawk who conducted his campaign like he was building an apartment complex or something— quick to get the insiders and fixers on his payroll to ease the path towards whatever goals he has set for himself.
Manafort is unlikely to see serious prison time. In fact there is a serious case to be made that being sent to jail is a violation of his Constitutional rights, what with bail being withheld and the case going through the Mueller staff instead of the judicial system. But hey, what do I know? I’m just a dumb helicopter pilot.

Re: Manafort's going to prison
Manafort like does have a skeleton or three in his closet, but who in DC doesn't.
My guess is that he will walk as his attornies will use the fruit from a poison tree defense.
And it is becoming more and more evident every day, that this entire fiasco is the mother of all political witch hunts. This is Watergate X 1000. Watergate was simply a handful of political dirty tricksters trying to dig up dirt in an illegal manner. This is the DOJ inventing political dirt.
The fact that the MSM is doing its best to ignore it, really is a good thing. The leftie partisans don't care and infact don't have a problem with it. To them, any means justifies the ends. But there is a chunk of people in the middle. These people decide elections and if they are paying the slightest bit of attention, they will see this for what it is and will vote for Trump just to stop it.
I think the Republicans will pick up a few seats in the house and may just clean the dems clock in the Senate.

Keep telling yourself that.
Re: Manafort's going to prison
After digging a bit deeper, it turns out I spoke too soon in that the Constitutional issues impacting Manafort’s jailing has to do with excessive bail, not from the processes involved in the Mueller investigation. But as Smackaholic mentioned, the case may hinge on that fruit from the poisoned tree or information gathered from illegal methods.
We’ll see.
But the whole business at the FBI sure looks much bigger than anything that Watergate produced. The prospect of high level agents actively working to minimize the Clinton investigation and end it as soon as possible in order to maximize a Trump investigation for the purposes of facilitating a near-certain Clinton administration’s gratitude would be a gross and monumental violation of the public trust.

Did they meddle?
Sure they did. Their goal was to make it seem that elections are fixed. And they succeeded far beyond their wildest dreams thanks to crooked DOJ leadership and a complicit MSM.

Re: Manafort's going to prison
Indeed! The Clinton campaign and the DNC (controlled by Hillary) conspired with the Russians to dig up dirt on Trump via a former British MI-6 agent with the intent to tilt the election to the Democrats. Weird isn’t it how no special prosecutor hasn’t been given the task to get to the bottom of that? And isn’t it weird how two top level FBI agents involved in the investigation conspired together to insulate the Clinton campaign from prosecution on the email scandal?Screw_Michigan wrote:Yeah, conspiring with a foreign nation to help tip an election is equal to run of the mill graft.smackaholic wrote:Manafort like does have a skeleton or three in his closet, but who in DC doesn't.

Oh, my. Must be a coincidence.Roger Stone, longtime Trump confidant, met with Russian who offered dirt on Clinton
Stone, who spoke about the previously unreported incident in exclusive interviews with The Washington Post, says the man, who called himself Henry Greenberg, offered damaging information about Hillary Clinton in exchange for $2 million during a brief sit-down in Florida in late May 2016. The meeting has resurfaced as part of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s sprawling investigation of Russian interference.

So the Hillary campaign and the DNC can pay for info on her opponents, but if the Trump campaign does it it is illegal?
If the Obama campaign data mines Facebook data that is fine and acceptable, but if someone does the same thing and offers it to the Trump campaign that is horrible and Facebook makes changes to prevent this and produces TV commercials to say how sorry they are.

Manafort’s main reason for glomming onto Trump’s campaign was to get back in good graces with his Ukrainian and Russian masters. He is well and truly fucked.
