"Is this normal or am I in a 'bad part of town?' Just walked past numerous homeless off their faces, screaming and running all over the sidewalk near Twitter HQ and then a murder scene. Wife is scared to leave hotel now,"
It's pretty normal. I'm honestly hoping tourists will realize how shitty this city has become and stop coming. Maybe the loss of income will finally push the city to stop allowing the rampant drug dealing and homeless people treating the entire city like their toilet. You would think a city that depends so heavily on tourism and conventions for the bulk of their income would put more effort into maintaining a certain standard, but there is rampant drug dealing out in the open in some of the most heavily tourist areas. The city know about it, they just don't care.
I would guess Chicago, Detroit, and NYC have more crime due to increased population, they are also Democratically controlled.
The Democratic platform seems to be legislate or micro manage law abiding citizens. And do little about crime, illegal immigration, or even look into why an increasing number children feel the need to kill classmates.

I keep telling you I don't live in SF or LA, dumbass.
I'd imagine that even Skid Row in LA is preferable to whatever shithole you live in. At least they've got Olvera St., Disney Concert Hall, the Performing Arts Center, MOMA, the Broad Museum and a lot of fine restaurants within walking distance.

This is where we buy a lot of our plants. No wonder they're so happy. They're in paradise.

I could see where San Francisco was heading even when I was there last in 1994. At that time, Chinatown seemed to be safe from "bums" living on the streets. Don't know if that is the case now.

One of the comments on the article says it all, the leadership in SF is out of touch with reality.
SF where plastic shopping bags are banned while they hand out 2 million plastic syringes.
A good example of legislating law abiding citizens, while looking past the homeless issue and not doing what is in the best interest of society as a whole. San Diego and Los Angeles have large numbers of homeless, both cities have moved many of them away from tourist and business areas, and provided services including meals, portable toliets & shelters.

So... back when the continents were all bunched together on our flat earth, didn’t that cause an imbalance and make it wobble? Reminds me of those platters at the State Fair where you pour paint on a T-shirt that’s on a spinning platter to make a hippy design.

No, you silly goose.
The Earth was a sphere back then. It wasn't until Pangea split, that our planet flattened out to it's current configuration.

Hmmm. Maybe we need to say you-know-who’s name three times to invoke him? There’s likely to be the cloying scent of sulphur about him if we do it. :|

Not easy to watch if you're a California resident.
I understand it's about 29 minutes too long for most here, but you don't have to watch long to get the gist of the video. The fact its almost 30 minutes reveals the extent of how fucked up California is.

20 pounds of poop dropped off at the curb. At least the hobos had the courtesy to bag it instead of their normal procedure of defecating on the sidewalk.
