Does anyone here care that LeBron Jayne has joined the Lakers?

Btw, Wolfman is aware that L.A. Lakers is one of the dumbest team names in sports.

Will LeBron win a title in L.A.?

Chamberlain, West, Jabbar, Magic, Shaq, Kobe -- all won titles in L.A.
There is a wee bit of pressure on L. Jayne now to win one (at least) as a Laker.
If not, he's going to stick out like a sore thumb as the superstar who couldn't bring it on home as a Laker.


Personally, I think it would have been cool if he had stayed in Cleveland.
His decision to go to L.A. is not a surprise to me.

I would have thought you'd breathe a sigh of relief 88, hard to root for team Labron I'd guess.

As for the Lakers, the honeymoon will be over in a year to year and a half. At which time the pouting and grumbling from Jane will really start. At least the Lakers can trade him if needed.

I don't give a rat's ass about the NBA. I go to a game or three a year when clients or my wife has free tickets for good seats.

I did hear stats yesterday though that were pretty impressive. All but 2 of the top 8 scorers in NBA history all wore the Lakers uniform at some point. 43% of NBA Finals have had the Lakers involved.

The payback money will have already been made by that time. No loss.

There’ll be no championship in LA in the foreseeable future. LBJ has no help oncourt and next year is the earliest the Lakers can free up enough cap space to land a genuine superstar to play beside him. That Ball kid is mediocre at best and LBJ ain’t getting any younger.

If he had any sense since he determined he wasn’t going to play in Cleveland any longer, he’d have gone to Oakland and played for the league minimum for a player in his position and grab another title. It’s not like his reputation is going to grow by jumping ship to Los Angeles.
