Manafort is the sacrificial lamb in this witch hunt. The fact that any of his past shenanigans are completely unrelated to Trump and this entire "investigation" was started using warrants gathered in an illegal manner, is irrelevant.

The trial really doesn't have much to do with Trump, other than to show that he has no problem hiring crooks to run his campaign.
Manafort is a crook (though innocent until proven guilty) and deserves prison.

I have no idea if he is a crook or not. I suspect that most people that deal in geopolitical games wouldn't come uplooking well, given a justice department colonoscopy.
Let's say he is. He was part of the campaign for a cup of coffee. When it was discovered that he might not be squeaky clean, he was shown the door.
Compare this to Hillary. It is plain as day to anyone now that she is a very shady character. She and Bill have become bazillionaires,with a good bit of that coming from Russkie associations. This isn't tinfoil hat speculation. It is a fact that Bill got a half million to read to them for a few minutes. And it is obvious to anyone that doing bidness on a private server was to keep gubmint eyes from seeing it.
