I found that amusing.

Case notes: This board is no different from the last time I visited it, and no different from the time before that, and the time before that. Noticed that a few avatars have changed, but the rhetoric remains unchanged. Would be interesting to see a member say, "By God, you know, I think you are right after all. But that doesn't seem to happen. Measles still hates Donald Trump. Pruneface still follows Glen Beck. Gravel Gertie is still content biting at ankles. Littleface still thinks the more guns people have, the less violence there will be. Snowflake still thinks black pride is good and white pride is racist.

First day in South Carolina I go to the bank to wire some money to California. I wait for one of the tellers behind a black man who owns a restaurant. I know this because I hear his cellphone conversation with this employee while he waits in line. The teller I finally get is a black woman, who calls me "darlin'" and hooks me up with another black woman, who she calls a banker. This second black woman, the banker, sits me down at her desk and proceeds with my transaction. Then she says she needs the bank manager to approve it. The bank manager is a black man in a suit and tie, and he approves the transaction. In the office next to us is a white woman talking to another black banker. They are talking about their kids, not about banking. They seem to be friends, and they are laughing a lot. I'm thinking to myself, "Well, I'll be a son of a..."

Say what you will, Mikey, but I never saw anything approaching this where I lived in "non-racist" California.

Anyone that has lived in more civilized parts of the south, like Nashville, knows that southerners are light-years ahead of Northeastern and Left coast progressives. They have way more experience with it. The pretty much hashed things out in the 50-60s and get along well. I saw something in Nashville in the 90s, I still don't see in the North East, middle class mixed race neighborhoods. And I am not talking about a token family or two.
