Compare And Contrast: American Milk

Well apparently we'll be getting a bit of that.
According to the new MMA-UFC treaty, limited amounts are on the way. The newspapers have put in the phone numbers to call when you get sick from drinking it and how to identify the bag as being foreign, so you can avoid it. Due diligence should see you through.

Anyway, doing some research and found out American milk is high in Somatic Cell Count (SCC) (an indicator that the cow is sick). American milk for export is required to have the amounts of SCC cut by half. Also something called recombinant bovine somatotropin, or rBST. It's a synthetic growth hormone that's illegal in Canada. Not harmful to humans, but terrible for the cow.

So just some quick questions!
Have you ever drank milk?
Are you medicated in any way, shape or form?
Have any of you lost children from drinking milk?
Have any of you become extremely fat and irritable after drinking milk?
Does it have big white lumps in it and smell a bit weird?

Cheers!

I've consumed bovine milk all my life and never had any issues nor knew of any. In olden days, milk was not pasteurized and there was always the threat of bovine tuberculosis, brucellosis, and other cross species diseases. In my youth most milk was not homogenized and the cream was on top and was either separated of shaken up to distribute it evenly. Later on as health fads kicked in, 2 %, 1%, and skim <1% became available. I know of no scientific studies that would show that our Canadian friends have fewer health issues because of their restrictions on milk products. It is likely just more bullshit from the "do-gooders" in the world. Carry on.

I often order milk when I'm at restaurants and ask for an extra shot of rBST on the side.

Could be American rhyming slang.

England: Richard the Third = turd

US: cottage cheese = glass of milk please

How charming, you're pretending to be Canadian again.

Milk is an excellent food, but no antibiotics, and of course 2%...this matches the 3-2-1 ratio of Carbs, Protein, and Fat...

Carry on..
