The GOP's all out assault on democracy

Make no mistake, the GOP is in the midst of an unprecedented assault on democracy through its voter suppression efforts, especially on Georgia. The GOP candidate, who is also secretary of state (no conflict there), just kicked 500,000 people off the voter rolls for dubious reasons, ranging from unmatched signatures to "use it or lose it" voting. Ohio is also purging its voter rolls.
The reasons are clear: when more people vote, and it is easier to perform this right, people vote against the GOP. When it is difficult to vote and fewer people do so, the trend favors the GOP.
Why does the GOP hate democracy? It is simple, because the populace does not favor GOP policy priorities, and the party knows it.

Yes, because we've had so many documented instances of voter fraud. I think they were able to find one in Wisconsin and it was a republican. BTW, I voted a couple of days ago.

The simple fact that every county in California that voted for hiliary in 2016 had more votes counted than voters living in them is all the documentation of voter fraud that is needed. Over a million documented cases right there

Precisely why the Democrats are so intent on filling out the voter registration roles— they want illegal aliens, dead people, felons, underaged voters, and double or triple voters to be lost in the vast numbers of people voting. It’s no wonder when the GOP being the party of law and order is opposed by all these people who embrace lawlessness— it serves the Democrats’ purposes since honest citizenry won’t stand for it.

Is anyone really surprised that California has more registered voters in some counties than voting aged adults? Even Mikey, said “who cares” when illegals were given the right to vote there.

The “more registered voters than over 18 population”’ was fake news from a right wing propaganda group that provided no proof and was debunked last year by the county registrars. Not surprised that 88, LS and the rest of the brain dead keep bringing it up like some kind of proven fact.

BTW... what I said is that I don’t really care if San Francisco allows non-citizens ( a lot of whom aren’t “illegal”) to vote for the school board. Mostly because it really doesn’t affect me.

My Congressional District will probably re-elect a guy who’s almost a slam dunk to be convicted of corruption in a few months, just because he has an “R” after his name on the ballot. But at least the race is competitive for the first time ever. The rest of the county is coming around a little more quickly.

No. It was specifically about the school board election in SF. That’s the only place it was proposed. You wanted to turn it into something bigger. Nice try though (not).

Melty, I hope you're paying attention, because this is a classic example of strawman.

Mikey wrote:Left Seater wrote:Mikey wrote:

Who cares if you live in San Francisco? They are going to let illegals vote in School Board elections.
I don't GARA what they're doing in the San Francisco School Board elections. Do you really think it's that easy to vote in California?
The issue started out as allowing non-citizens to vote in School Board elections in San Francisco. I'm not sure if I'm in favor of this or not. I can see the logic, though, of allowing
legal non-citizen residents to have a voice in their kids' education. But, as it doesn't really affect me, I don't really feel strongly one way or the other.
LS is so desperate, like you, to show somehow that I and other Democrats are in favor of giving away our God given country that he, first, changed the subject from from non-citizen residents to "illegals" voting in the SF School Board elections to, now, that I'm in favor of "allowing illegals to vote in Northern California." What a load of crap.
You brain dead morons are so intent on proving one thing based on stating something completely different that you start believing your own bullshit.
i.e. Strawman:
The fact that I don't really care if San Francisco allows non-citizen residents to vote in their School Board election does not prove that I'm in favor of allowing "illegals" to vote in California.
As much as you want it to, it just doesn't. Sorry.
BTW...I still haven't seen any proof of the supposed California voter registration scandal.

Mikey, just a few questions.
Should we have a wide open border?
If not, what sort of limits should we have?
Should those here illegally be forced to leave?
Should anyone not a citizen be allowed to vote in federal elections?
Should anyone voting be required to show proof of their status?
You asshole liberals like to pretend you're all for legitimate elections and some sort of border enforcement, but are always against Republican efforts to actually carry out such policies.
My guess is that like Hillary, you'll be for civility and border enforcement, once you've shifted demographics enough. But what happens when that shift goes a little too far?

Interesting. I'll play. Since we have had many documented instances of people crossing our border without permission, does your argument support the notion that we need to build a wall and take additional steps to ensure that our borders are not crossed without our permission? Or does your argumentation only work in the direction of your political preference?

Your argument makes no sense. We've had very few documented cases of voter fraud. We know there's millions of illegal aliens. I don't know, is that a false equivalency? A strawman, maybe? Just garden variety stupidity?
We need to enforce our immigration laws. The wall will do little to stop the thousands who simply overstay their visa. Take that popcorn and shove it up your ass.
