I call "back up and take another run at it, sport."

"Republicans hold the Senate but lose the House"

"Democrats take the House but not the Senate"

Typical political tactic - split the vote so neither wins.

I'm looking for an over/under on house seats and Senate turnover.

I've managed to not go on any type of murderous spree, so I got that going for me. 1 little twis in college and the other in high school, he plays travel hockey so our life revolves around that from Sept - March. Other than that, drinking when I can and enjoying the occasional edible.

I am going to predict Beto the Irish wins in Texas. He will be the first Democrat in Texas elected to the Senate since 1988. He will also be the first Democrat to win in a Statewide election here since 1992. Young voters will carry him to office. Those same voters will have changed party in 10 years when they want to buy a house, have to pay taxes, and aren’t living at least partially off of mom and dad.

The Democratic Party will immediately anoint him the savior and since he was able to win in Texas, he would be able to win the White House. Never mind he stands for nothing and is a criminal. Things that should play well nationally.

Nah, Beto won't be that guy. Andrew Gillum will be that guy.

If Gillum was a slightly cleaner negro and a little less of an unabashed marxist, he might eeek it out.

But he isn't.

There are an awful lot of people in Florida that are kinda fond of that no income tax thing. Add to this that he has been caught red handed taking bribes and I think he's toast.

Another thing to remember is that Trump's support among balcks has doubled...or better, since the election. Some of that will trickle down to state races.
I think that messican, or whatever the fukk kinda spic he is, pulls it out. And Scott will roll that fossil, Nelson.

.

Have to be a pretty strong party to make a difference. Here in the U & L, we had an Independent Party candidate for Governor decide he did not have chance in hell of even showing so the lame ass mother fucker ejected.....and then he endorsed the Demorats corrupt candidate.

Some Independent he was. He fucked that party forever in Oregon.

Speaking of 3rd parties, at one time the Conservative Party of New York was a force to contend with. Actually had a US Senator, Jim Buckley elected and was a player in getting George Pataki to retire Mario ( the Pious) Cuomo. I was involved in party activity in CNY. Don't know why it all went south when it did.

They are the same. I didn't want to accused of supporting one party over the other. Still wishing we had a viable third party to shake things up.
Wish in one hand and shit in the other...

YOU make a party “viable” with your vote.

My guess is the GOP picks up two seats in the Senate, but loses 26 seats in the House. Governorships go to a 9-9 tie, which on the whole is a loss for the GOP. Then for the remaining time left in his presidency, Pelosi investigates anything and everything Trump, further polarizing the US.

Jim Buckley got routed by Dan Patrick Moynihan. The New York conservative party remains a force in upstate elections. Oftentimes the conservative endorsement will allow a Democrat to beat a Republican.

The state of New York has never been as conservative as the conservative party would wish it to be.

Oh, and my prediction is Beto gets run over by Cruz by 4 percentage points at a minimum. O’Rouke is Wendy Davis with a ball-sac.

Hahaha. I thought this could be the year a Dem won a statewide election. It has been 26 years so it has to happen at some point, right? Guess Beto the Irish wasn’t it.

My prediction was fairly close to the results. I should get a gig on CNN seeing as my political opinions are at the very least on par with their best talking heads.

I can see it now. 3 pages of bandwidth wasting cut and paste that Gobbles puts up with your byline on it. Epic.
