Not a vet. 3 of my boys are vets. Never claimed to be ever, because you should be shot for stolen valor. I tried to join the Air Force in 1975 because I wanted them to teach me to fly jets. I had corrected vision which eliminated me from that, so I passed. Besides all the returning combat veteran turbine pilots were getting all the flying jobs.

I was hoping that Screwed in the Ass and the midget leg humper might enlighten us as to what branch of service they both served in and what their MOS was.

Pretty sure neither one served and so their criticism of the veterans confirms that they are whale shit on the bottom of the ocean.

In all seriousness, PTSD is now the catch-all for anybody who acts out— and this doesn’t apply to just veterans, you hear it from soccer moms to college students now who feel that they have a debilitating ailment because life isn’t fair. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of people who suffered from a terrible and traumatic event and are properly diagnosed with once was called shell shock or combat fatigue, but for the rest of these people, they are complaining about normal life and wanting it to be something treatable. Nobody gets through this life unscathed.

Even the name “Post Traumatic Stress Disorder” begs for it to be diagnosed to anything which upsets you. Trump won and you can’t handle it? You’ve got PTSD. You’re moody because the Republicans lost the House? You’ve got PTSD.

We’ve got to stop this stupid shit and come to grips with the fact that life ain’t fair and often times is tough. Suck it up, buttercup.

I am not one to go around defending screwey as he generally deserves all the abuse he gets here, and then some, but picking on USAF guys for not really being in the military is a time honored tradition. And back in the 80s, it wasn't far from the truth.

But, it ain't the 80s anymore and most chairforce dudes get a hell of a lot closer to the fight than I ever did.
