Here's my problem with our allegedly fair current tax system.

The bottom half essentially pays nothing. In fact the poorest actually get money through the EITC. Then, as income rises, the percentage rises as well, but it levels off rather quickly in upper middle class range. I don't have the actual numbers in front of me and I am sure I could google them quick enough, but I'm a lazy fukk.

Anyhoo, to the libtards that want "the rich" to pay "their fair share" I would ask, why do you stop tightening the noose at a point where, IMO, you haven't even gotten into "the rich's" zip code?

edit: OK, my curiosity trumped my laziness. For 2018, Uncle Sugar hits the max rate at everything over 200K.

That would be better than what we have. I think a rate which raised with income, leveling off somewhere around "88 money" would be good. I would make that top rate, maybe a bit higher than the current 200K rate. The 200K rate would be a little lower than the current rate. And remember, no fukking deductions!!!!!

So local and state sales taxes are ok? But a national sales tax is immoral?

Also as was mentioned before no one is going to pay 70% of any income over x% in taxes. Long before that point was reached there would be differed income or other income diverting plans. Hell, at my small shop the company buys and maintains my vehicle. This counts as a business expense which lovers the company tax bill. It also means I can pay myself less which lowers the income tax I pay and also the tax the company pays on my income.

There are hundreds more ways to do things like this that are totally legal and lower one’s tax burden.
