New York is seeing a revenue deficit and the governor is blaming federal taxes as a result. He says the top of the bracket folks are moving away to lower tax states.

Wall Street Journal and others have this story and more stats, but the WSJ site is a paid site so you get this.

Meanwhile other liberals are telling us raising taxes doesn’t cause the rich to move or shelter cash. They say this because they want to increase taxes to pay for crazy amounts of new spending. But as Cuomo has shown this is in fact false.

Deep in the article the gov does admit the new tax rates will help many residents of his state, but like any bought and paid for politician he only cares about the rich.

So for the occasional Cotex fans, does this change your thinking at all on paying for her crazy spending plans?

The large majority of my work is maintenance of equipment used by TSA in the "war on bottled water".

Today I am going to a federal building to de-install 3 perfectly good xray machines and installing 3 new ones. Usually I do this with literally identical models. At least today the 2 that are at the building public entrance are a little different, as they are dual view.

What value will be added?

Pretty much none.

Price tag for this?

North of a quarter million dollars, I'd guess. Possibly well north.
