Very SOLID "young" veteran linebacker signed by Oakland.
I dig it.
I saw him a fair amount the last couple years in H-town, and the dude is a player.
Strong, tough, smart, good tackler, great team guy.
He'll help "us" ...... I have no doubt.

Yep, that's what the Raiders have done this off-season.
They've brought in a lot of new blood on the d-side of the ball, and some of them look quite promising.
My nagging feeling from watching SOB's act last year, however, is that he'll fuck it all to hell.
:?
Prove me wrong, damn it.

Yes, 9:07.
And don't come in "fashionably late" (9:09) like Pinky is threatening.
He's gettin' belted for that.
9:05 .............................................
9:06
9:07 ........ Game ON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks to be a very solid signing.
I'm not quite sure where this "kid" fits into our LB plans.
SOB says that he can play both inside and outside linebacker.
"Don't worry about the horse being blind. Just load up the wagon." - John Madden, sportscaster and then Oakland Raiders coach, reporting the words of wisdom he imparted to his team before each game. Madden himself said he had no idea what those words meant.

Now that the Texans used him and and spit him out here comes Alice Davis to swoop him up.

It was a salary cap drop, essentially.
The Texans wanted to get "faster" at LB, and they brought in Morlon Greenwood.
In Oakland's case, a solid guy who is a good tackler (and at a modest price) is more than welcome.

Well I can't dispute that Pop...after all it makes perfect sense...the Raiduhs sign a slower, undersize, cap castoff and figure he'll plug one of the many holes in the Raiduh D

I dunno, Mike.
Foreman averaged 125 tackles a year from '01-'03
Last year he was on pace for 114 before spraining his ankle and missing the last 5 games.
That's a LOT of tackles.
I'm not saying the guy is the second coming of Butkus, but he's a solid player...... at least.

Pop's..you know I'm just gloating over last year and the ease with which the Bolts double dipped the Raiduhs and Chiefs.
I'm very stoked for more of the same this year. It's a case of tweeking Raiduh and Chief fan while the tweekings good..

You got lucky with Chuck's Son. I was hoping he would be picked up byu the Vikings.
I Met Chuck a couple years ago at Winter Park, and couldn't believe how big he was for a running back. They don't make them like him anymore.

Welcome
Ed Jasper too.

Oakland's offensive moves this off-season have gotten most of the attention, but they have done quite a number on the D side of the ball too.
19-0 ..... ?
Pretty much etched in stone now, bitches.

How's this Faiderfan?
Raiders | Asomugha the Favorite to Start
Sun, 26 Jun 2005 06:46:30 -0700
Nancy Gay, of the San Francisco Chronicle, reports Oakland Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha will most likely enter training camp as the favorite to start at right cornerback.
Raiders | Smith Struggling with Knee Issue
Sun, 26 Jun 2005 06:42:47 -0700
Nancy Gay, of the San Francisco Chronicle, reports Oakland Raiders head coach Norv Turner said LB Travian Smith continues to have trouble with his chronically sore knee and remains a question mark to make the team for the 2005 season.
This is my favorite:
Raiders | Brayton to Play Linebacker Only
Sun, 26 Jun 2005 06:39:43 -0700
Nancy Gay, of the San Francisco Chronicle, reports Oakland Raiders head coach Norv Turner said LB Tyler Brayton will now play linebacker exclusively and he should be more in tune with the team's defensive scheme.
Just out of curiousity Faiderfan does anyone outside of the Chokeland organization think this dude has any business at all playing LB?
Yeah it's all coming together for Chokeland.
