How about we have a 90% top marginal tax rate until we pay the deficit off? You do recall that's why we had that 90% tax right back in the 50s? We were paying off war bonds.

Overall a top marginal rate afterwards that would be sane would probably be about 50%. That's if we don't want to keep abusing the shit out of deficit spending.

Also every single dollar earned, as well as capital gains should be taxed for Social Security and Medicare.

How about we get spending under control and stop thinking we need to take more of the citizens money. And you want capital gains to be taxed for SS and Medicare? Go ahead and start sending in an extra $5k a year to the IRS first. Then we can talk about you forcing this on the rest of us.
