If you are using Tapatalk you can just upload the pictures through Tapatalk. Click on the thing that says photos, files and add. That's how I posted my entire PET from Iceland, Acadia, Thousand Islands etc.

Today's my last day, I might have some down time before I leave tonight. Definitely more photos, just have been busy.

So I am back home in, where else, after two weeks in Rio. I had an amazing time and I would highly encourage everyone here to visit. Plenty of high end accomodations for guys like Left Seater and plenty of lower end as well for guys on a budget like myself. I stayed in Lapa which is the heart of Rio's bar scene. USD goes very far in Rio, it was R$3.8=USD$1 when I was there. I was drinking $1-2 beers, eating great for $8-10 and taxis and ubers were super cheap, as was metro.

Went to Flamengo-Fluminense at Estádio do Maracanã, which was incredible. Sat in the Fluminense section. Game was awesome, it was a rivalry match so the crowd was electric. Paid USD$17 for my ticket.


This is what bars in Lapa look like. There is little to no indoor seating and all the seating is outdoor on the sidewalk. As the night grows people spill into the streets, basically turning the block into a block party.

I did have some asshole cab driver steal my credit card and immediately put USD$2000 on it. Rio's cabs advertise as taking credit card but the wireless payment processing device didn't work. Often their mobile businesses there actually don't take CC because the wireless data there is so unreliable. So I went inside the beer store to get some change for him, gave him his money and that was it. Of course he didn't give me back my card.

Also another international lesson--bring two credit cards from two different banks. When I reported my usual CC stolen, the bank immediately froze my backup CC as a "fraud alert" and made jump through hoops to get it unfrozen. This is also why Uber is great in foreign countries---payment is made up front, so you don't have to worry having the money to pay a cab driver once the service is performed, and you know up front how much you're paying. Nothing sucks like being in a foreign country and not knowing if you'll have enough money to pay the cabdriver once you get to the airport.
