There's ridiculously overwhelming evidence to the contrary, but the Believers will believe.

I used to think that there was some cool dude rolling around the desert telling people to be decent, and a legend was born. Then I educated myself, and realized that the guy the legends were based on never existed... quite obviously (and laughably so), it was a scam.

But Happy Easter, if it gets you through your day.

A good excuse to make some hummus, cook some lamb, and break out a bottle (or more) of the good red.

We actually went to the early morning mass at the San Luis Rey Mission in Oceanside. The organist and, especially, the singer (an amazingly talented soprano) were awesome. Starting with some selections from Handel before the mass got started to a sung version of Ode to Joy for the recessional, the whole thing was thoroughly enjoyable.

I was a Giants fan back in the 60's. Amazing that at one point the Giants owned all three Alou brothers, then got rid of the two good ones.
