Convicted felons that are currently in prison shouldn't be allowed to vote.

If they've served their term and are out then they should be able to vote.

The reason felons are restricted from voting, gun ownership, et al is that they displayed a contempt for the law and the norms of civilized society.

Yes, I do hate democracy as did the Founding Fathers of our once great nation. Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner.

Ultimately, the “give felons the vote” brouhaha is an attempt to increase voter rolls which ostensibly would result in more Democrat votes. Whether or not this idea has any merit for the Dems is questionable, but the fact that the vast majority of felons are balck is the thought behind Bernie’s proposal. There are a number of issues here, one of which point to a politician whose use of the race card is cynical at best, downright dehumanizing at worst.

Well, at least Scooter Libby will get to vote.
