I saw Focus as the opening act for Yes at Winterland in 1973, during their Close to the Edge tour. And they did play Hocus Pocus.
I'll have to say...that song was one of the worst prog-rock "hits" during an era of great prog-rock music. Always sounded like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.
