At this point I am more like meh. Whatever. That said I don't have a daughter competing in said sports. Towards the bottom of the article there is a link to another that talks about to people born male now identifing as female who are dominating "girls" track in CT.

I am more interested in what this will do to the education side of Title IX.

Naw this isn't going to eliminate all of the spots on a softball team. Most HS boys, aren't going to claim to identify as a female, the ridicule alone will see to that. It might take a place or two, but not the whole team.
